This is better than a lot of what's on radio today.

This is the good stuff. No gays and lesbians. No transexuals. No freaks with nose rings No kids with blue or green hair. Just good clean entertainment.

Mayor and Mrs Jeffrey's were such snobs in this episode, but the other woman who introduced Rafe had no problem with him.

Amen to that, brother...being from the South I'm proud of it. Jack Prince was an unbelievable talent in the folk ballad genre and will never be forgotten...

I am going to have this song played at my memorial by Mr Jack Prince

Try this; smoke you a doob, and watch Mayberry. Notice how it is the south in the 60s and no one’s black. Notice how Aunt be talks with a British accent. And then here comes Gomer…
Looks like Rafe is really singing this one. ‘Look Down that Lonesome Road’ was an overdub.

So-called "Jack Prince" wasn't even his real name. John Trevathian Upchurch Jr onviously sold-out his birth moniker in the name of 'Hollywood' shallowness, deceit, & greed. In other words, from money-grubbing Agent(s) and or Studio(s), with preconceived notions of greater recognition and better financial gain?! The worst part was the disrespect of parents and family heritage.

Look down look down that lonesome road, before you travel on. Look up look up and seek your maker, for Gabriel blows his horn. Weary toting such a load, tredging down that lonesome road. Look down look down that lonesome road, before you travel on. Weary toting such a load, tredging down that lonesome road. Look down look down that lonesome road, before you travel on. 🥹

Ever since I had seen the Andy Griffith show back in the day this episode and a few other ones have stuck with me for years and every now and then I like to see the old episodes again with the ones with the songs in them. This Man Has A Great Singing Voice !! I believe there’s another song if I’m not mistaken he sings which is better than this one but they are both Great Songs from this Show ! ❤❤❤

Let me take this time to say The Andy Griffith show is my all-time favorite television show. It has been around more than 60 years and the humor still works because it doesn't involve ridicule, sexual innuendo and because not every line is a forced joke. And because who wouldn't want to live in Mayberry? "Aunt Bea the Crusader" is my favorite episode.
