Anyone who has leveled a disc with a diamond pencil without balancing knows what I'm talking about: the grinder shows a little dance when it stops. 😃 Full video - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fJmWicqU29PJqGg.htmlsi=5124llON0CzF45QY

By using rotating magnets with alternating poles near a thick aluminum or copper plate, you can heat it up greatly and even boil water. A moving magnet near metals creates eddy currents in them, which heat the metals. It is because of the eddy currents created by the magnetic fields that the motor cores and old transformers with iron cores heat up. That is why iron cores are made from thin plates isolated from each other. This is done to reduce eddy currents.

Wow man..... Incredible example.... So. Water is heated because of magnètic field change.... Because of the metàl·lic small partícules of the water?
@grain8314
@grain8314 5 күн бұрын
This works by changing the magnetic field, the magnets are arranged with alternating poles. A changing magnetic field creates eddy currents near metals. The same principle works in an induction cooker, only there the high-frequency magnetic field is created electronically. In short, magnets act not on water, but on aluminum. Below the video is a description and a link to the full video - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i8dmldWYv87FXWg.htmlsi=eGtrG0NB17I6dWP-

Funniest part to me is that if you leaned the entire mechanism over slightly, both angling the spout and the screw, this would be so much more efficient. Even just angling the spout down a few degrees would be more efficient.
