Just tried your trick and it did not work my left controller still moves on it's own when not touching it. This is so frustrating while playing Fortnite. I'm taking I just need a new controller or switch all together because my mic or headphone jack don't work and I only had it maybe 3-3 and half years. 😞

This did not work for me, I have looked through too many videos, please help- idk what to do I tried cleaning the switch and then the controller where the both of them connect,nothing. And everything else I tried, nothing. Now that I think of it, the controller is probably a bit separated since I do remember holding with only one hand on one of the controllers, it J don’t really think I did much, since comparing it with the other controller, it does not look separated. Idk what to do, pls help- Edit: NVM IT FINALLY WORKED FOR ME, AFTER TRYING IT AGAIN, AND THEN JUST LEAVING IT THERE STAYING ON SEARCHING FOR ANOUTHER HELPFUL VIDEO, IT FINALLY RECONNECTED BACK TYSM FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO! nvm, while writing this it got unconnected again, I probably really thing it’s because of it being ‘stretched’ out by holding it with hand. It makes the sound that it’s connected, but at the bottom of the screen,it still says it’s not connected to the switch. WHY DOES THIS HAVE TO BE SO HARD I SWEAR

I can't help but be amused on the repeated emphasis at every opportunity on DON'T GET THE LABEL WET. Good stuff, though. Right now I'm amidst building a Nintendo 64 out of different components I'm getting (rather than just buy the whole or most of the package in one place, I'm just buying different things individually, be it for the sake of cost, or ensuring different things are new and working good versus old and original, and also upgrades and aftermarket), and I just got the first cartridge in my new collection to be, Mortal Kombat 4, in all its cheesy and comedic glory. The picture I saw online definitely looked better than in person, because the cartridge I got is pretty gross (as well as has scratches and marks all over it - not that I can really get rid of those so easily) and fairly worn. Hey, at least with the condition it's in, I can probably bet it's original and not a reproduction. I'm definitely checking around the internet and watching some videos about how to clean these things before I go horribly discoloring it or something, just out of paranoia. Pretty much what I've found is basically what I was already going to do anyway (magic eraser, q-tips, ect), but the one thing I actually didn't think about was getting the label wet. Mine may not be super perfect condition to begin with, but I'd rather save what I can! Definitely a great tip both with this cartridge and with future ones I'll be getting down the road. DON'T GET THE LABEL WET!
