0:28 I was going to procrastinate and watch your entire 7 minute video until this segment, which demonstrates you dont respect your viewers time - so Ill go start my cardio workout earlier.

i'm a beginner at KBs and im trying to learn how to do better clean but for example, even if i manually just hold the KB in the right position like shown at 2:04, the weight of it still hurts by applying pressure on the top of my forearm. i dont know if there's something i'm missing....

Would you suggest trying cast iron kettlebells to someone who's only trained with a comp bell but now wants to get up in weight? I do not plan on competing any time soon, if ever actually. My only goal for training kettlebells is to get stronger and stay healthy. Mostly get stronger. What do you say?

Or gets a shorter torso and longer arms !!! Some people literally cannot test their elbows in their iliac crest no matter how flexible they are tbh.

Ive been training very consistently for 4.5 months now, hitting around 25-30 sets per workouts, lately i feel like my body is trying to fight off a cold, my sleep has been pretty bad, def have been more irritable too, and sometimes feel unmotivated not often, but a few times. And sometimes ill do 2 workouts a day as well 30-45 mins if cardio 4-6 days a week. How long of a rest do you think i should give myself in your opinion?

I got a callus on both my hands right in the middle and since I wasn't aware, I just tore it off right away. Now the wounds are still relatively fresh even though the pain is less, I'm not sure how to deal with it 😅 Any suggestions?

very interesting, thanks v.m. It would be intersting, which part of the chain is weakest and how it can be specially strengthened ( trained ), in order to get better results at the complete exercise.

Could you still exercise and pick up dumbbells and barbells during the recovery period until it healed?

This is super awesome and so informative. As a fitness fanatic and sports science geek, I thoroughly enjoyed this. Thank you. Some areas where I would be curious to see muscle activation would be in the lower body, specifically the quads, glutes, and hamstrings. I’m sure there is a lot of activation there during the leg sweep as well as when you stand up and then lunge back down. Curious how that compares to the upper body activation you focused on in this study.

Thanks stuggling with the snatch, I'll keep this in mind of something to look out for. The dowel drill you showed is actually a really good drill I can incorporate for rowing to make sure back is straight at the end.

My whole toe just ripped off, and it hurts so bad. The whole bottom of my big toes are calluses and I was getting out of bed this morning and my foot was asleep and I stood up my foot twist and it ripped all the skin off my big toe and it hurts so bad man. It was bleeding like crazy. It was really thick like 2 or 3 mm

I love training and I work doordash on ebike and sometimes I just hit the wall... I just can't do nothing for a couple of days... Really weird cuz I love training and I like making money so it s addictive. I don't even really need the money.... Just get addicted to training for $$$$. I do all kinds of training to in my Breaks like push-ups and squats and leg lifts crunches... Also like that you get to meet a lot of people...

Imo you are still banging your forearm. There should be a quick elbow retraction, allowing the bell to have a straight upward trajectory. What you show still have a circular trajectory, wich is normal if there is no elbow retraction.

I have been experiencing a lot of these symptoms especially fatigue and a depressed state of mind. Each day I would do a one-hour gym session with an ab workout, sometimes followed by another 200 weighted pull-ups. I feel horrible. I am going to try and cut back my training time and see how I feel.

The symptoms of overtraining describe me a lot lately. I've been working out like a horse and yesterday i heared a podcast from Portugal (my country) and that specific episode they spoke about mental health and i realized i was doing more than 1 hour of workout. That was the reason of my irritability after all. And now this video reinforced that. Thank you!

I might be cleaning completely wrong, but I don’t have much forward “swing” motion (as seen in the video) of the KB at all - I clean it like the bar - the pull is vertical and I use the vertical momentum of the KB to “wrap” the elbow underneath just like I do with the bar.

Hey Eric, I'm wondere why you didn't measure the activation of the rhomboids, subscapularis, and serratus anterior, or is there no solution to measure them with EMG? It's obvious, that the hand on the floor has much more load and that's why it should be more active ._)... but I'm very interested in the Biceps activity and how it changed it's EMG when adding more weight. And did you try to hold the kettle bell uprigt, to have more instability? Maybe you could tell little about things you havn't published ;-) Sincerely, Markus
