What amp did you use with the Atalante 3s? How much or how little power do. you need to make these sing? Do they work with valves as well as solid state? Would. you prefer one option over another? Thank you for your great review.

I have both the Eversolo DMP-A6 and AMP-F2 driving a pair of Focal Chorus 826V ... I am blown away with how good the combination is. I've used Musical Fidelity X and M series kit before, and although it might not be quite as good as the top end M6 gear ... its friggin brilliant at the price point. I use it all day long in my home office. I switch between Tidal for quality listening to Spotify for general listening ... and to SSD ripped CDs (which it does an amazing job of too). I have to agree ... the background noise is non-existent, just totally silent and that makes the music really pop out. The clarity of the trebles, and the deep and tight control of the bass is sensational. My musical taste are diverse ... from classical to opera to rock to pop to blues to trans and chillout tunes. Its fantastic at everything. Some people have commented about Eversolo being "bright" ... personally I think its totally sharp and articulate. This has been the best purchase since I bought my MF X series stuff over 20 years ago. Just brilliant

Thank you for this video! I'm about to buy an Audia Flight FL Three S and am not yet sure about the speakers - currently I'm thinking about either the Atalante 3, the Trenner & Friedl Sun (I also watched your video on those), or the Dynaudio Special 40. Any recommendations or inputs? I prefer musicality, composure and smoothness over sound that is too analytical and dry, My room is about 12ft x 14ft. To the Audia Flight I'll connect a Marantz Cinema 70S as pre amp, to which I'll connect my Nvidia Shield - so it will be both for music and movies, but focus on music, and I'd rather have high quality bass to around 70hz than bad-sounding bass down to 40 hz. Thank you and have a nice day!

Thank you so much for this great and informative video. I can only subscribe to everything you said. About a month ago, I replaced my 27 years old Spica TC 60 (excellent speakers btw, especially for their price) with a pair of Atalante 3 and I am still thrilled! When I heard them at a local shop in Brussels (where I live) I just could not believe their size. Soundstage and instrument separation is just staggering (listening to Kind of Blue was a revelation). On top of that they are easy to place and they look great too! I pair them with a Rega Elicit amp and use the dedicated stands. Cheers! Ignacio

Good review thanks for posting. I have SotM Neo Ultra SE and sPS 500 SE (Currently using internet over mains via TP Link). So the TP Link will feed the isolation transformer. Is another LAN cable supplied to go between the isolation transformer and the streamer then ? I understand there is a CAT 7 version now and no doubt CAT 8 will follow in due course. The digital streaming world moves apace so these constant technical changes make these expensive SOtM products lose value quickly unfortunately. If you were to apportion the improvement of add ons in percentage terms and assuming 100 % is SE everything what contribution does the Isolation transformer make in your estimation ? In my analogue world i use a mains isolation transformer on my Moving coil - MM step up device and would say adds maybe 5%, so this is what my expectation would be in the digital domain yet the isolation transformer costs as much as the streamer which seems out of proportion for the anticipated improvement.

Thanks for doing this video - had come across the work (and Blog) of Pedja before (who was much praised by another DAC / CD guru, Lukasz Fikus (of LampizatOr) who’s work I also admire) so really useful to watch and hear a review on the latest version of Pedja’s work - especially from someone who’s a guitarist (like myself) and so the tone and timbre of instrument sounds is of paramount importance in order to get that ‘being there, in the room’ like experience from listening to music. Great stuff 👍 Had a look through your subsequent videos and can’t seem to find if or when you did sound quality comparisons between this and (particularly for me) the Synthesis Roma 69DC and the Musical Fidelity M6X DAC’s. Did you get round to doing this yet? If so, where can I find this? If not, then please, please can you make the time and put out the video you were hoping to do 🤞

When doing the comparison with the master edition, were they used as streamer/dac/preamps? or was it a fair dac vs dac matchup? I do understand that the biggest difference of the a6 master and the a8 is the preamp section right? So without using them as preamps, is the upgrade still huge?

@EliteAudioUK Hi Mark, thank-you for your very kind reply. Apologies, for my opaque... unfortunately, badly-worded orig. question re; your review of the Lindemann Streamer... My question is - Will adding a DDC unit eliminate even more 'jitter, etc.' from the digital information presently being sent via an Aes/Ebu (Oyaide) cable as a digital signal from my C.E.C. 2-belt drive CD Transport >> DAC, sort out further possible jitter issues? Thus adding a DDC to the following;-- CD Transport >> *DDC* >> DAC >> Pre/Power Amp>>Spkrs. = A noticeable improvement in the overall digital playback quality side of the sound of my hi-fi system. re; DDC reducing even more *jitter* removed from the signal before >> DAC Hope I've explained my question better this time around. Many thanks, Mark, for all/any info you can provide. all the very best from Japan. P.
@EliteAudioUK
@EliteAudioUK Ай бұрын
Good afternoon P, thanks for the follow up message. It is possible, but until you listen and do and A/B comoparison, there is no way of knowing for sure. It depends on the level of jitter being created in the first place. Years ago, a company called Vertex produced devices called a Kinabalu, that was designed to remove jitter. They found they could reduce jitter by almost 90% on a CD player using these devices! Cheers, Mark :)

@@EliteAudioUK Hiya Mark, Thanks so much for your balanced suggestion (xlr?! ; ba-da-boom-tish! - ah'll get ma' coat)... Aye, I was just curious about reducing jitter via a DDC to discern any subtle, or not so subtle, improvements in the sound of my system. I'll give it a go, and if there's no real difference, then I might just 'dip ma' toes' into the streaming world... I'm a bit of a luddite, mechanical over digital-type, but nothing ventured..., etc. Again, thanks for takin' the time to reply. Very much appreciated. Per the website Bluetooth 4.2 Ethernet 100Mb Older wi-fi No Airplay2 or Chromcast For a $4,600 streamer ... those are not good specs and that there are better options for less. If you want to spend more... the Chord Hugo TT2 may be a better option. FPGA vs AKM chip. In terms of technology... today's home networks have better wi-fi, along w better ethernet speeds (1GbE standard w 10GbE now making it in to home networks)

Hi Mark, thanks for another good analysis of a new streamer. It sounds like its performance has won your heart! :) I'm surprised so many all in one streamers are launching at this level as most audiophiles have found a DAC they wish to keep so I would have expected more interest in 'streaming only/ network bridge' products. That's certainly my own situation where I won't be replacing my Chord Hugo TT2 any time soon, despite looking for a new front end for it. I think it might be a unit you need to see and feel in person. Certainly in your reel, next to the wonderful english acoustics amplifier and luscious looking R150 it looks like a cheap plastic (maybe that's the smooth aluminium as opposed to the brushed look) and I wouldn't be in a rush to have it on my stand, but I'm sure it might fare better in person. Nice that you showed some of the Tidal app functionality, but a look at the Qobuz alternative would have been nice too, as many people prefer the sound of Qobuz , and having tested them side by side for a year, that includes me :) Nice to see another unit upsampling to DSD. PS audio have spoken of the benefits of this for some time and I'm given to believe the resulting phase accuracy is what really helps with soundstage and specificity. With my flag firmly planted in the Chord TT2 camp, I'm an M-scaler man myself, but I'm always interested in the techniques and options that these excellent brands use to achieve their performance, so thanks for mentioning these details, I'm always interested! Really appreciate you making these videos, they are always a pleasure to watch. They also serve their purpose, in that if Elite Audio sell the gear I want to buy, I'd very likely buy from you guys too. Have a fantastic day!

Good afternoon and thank you for the comment and feedback. It is interesting how many people really want a one box solution. I would say its 50/50 on our sales for all in one v's separates. We did compare Qobuz v's Tidal (just didn't show that in video clips) and I do have a preference for Qobuz. That said, Tidal connect is pretty compelling when you hear it on a device like the Lindemann. The video doesn't really show the quality of its build. Its a beatifully built and designed device. Your Chord system is without dount one of the best, the M-Scaler being the icing on the cake! :) Glad enjoyed the video and thanks again. Mark :)

I just got my DMP A6 Master Edition. Quite pleased. Sound is top notch. I am using airplay and Apple Music off of my iphone and the convenience is great. A couple of things of note. When I bought the unit I was interested in the EQ feature advertised on their website. When I received the unit, there was no EQ. Disappointed, I sent a message to their support group. They wanted me to take a picture of the display and send back to them. Meanwhile, I get a notice of an upgrade available on the Eversolo iphone app. I installed the upgrade and it updated the unit to include a set of EQs (parametric and graphic), other goodies included, but that feature was what I was interested in. Why didn't the support group just tell me an update is forthcoming? However, when I did an A/B comparison with the built in digital graphic EQ and my other "analog" EQ (Technics SH-8022), both with identical settings, the DMP A6 built in EQ sounded muddy. My Technics EQ sounds much smoother. Granted the Technics EQ is probably not considered a "grand audiophile EQ", but I've owned it more than 30 years and it sounds great! A bug feature was also included to fix "Added seamless CD playback", and "Fixed occasional stuttering issue with certain audio in optical output". I notice before when I played a CD through the optical interface to the DMP A6 it skipped on occasion. Just tested this feature by playing a CD for about 20 minutes and it seems this issue is still not fixed. Not a big deal, but it is a little annoying if your playing back CDs through the optical interface to the DMP A6. Overall it sounds great, but be aware the sw is still somewhat immature, and there are limitations with using airplay (limited to 44kHz/16 bit) and ir doesn't let you use the crossfeed feature.
