Great tips! Having vacationed in Punta Cana several times from the US, here are our tips! Only eat cooked food (not foods like salads) to lessen the risk of getting traveler's diarrhea. Don't check a bag...only take a carry-on bag because the line to check a bag when returning home at the Punta Cana airport can be insane!

My husband & I are getting ready to go here for our anniversary in a week. This will be my husband's first time going to the DR, my 2nd time. The first time I went, I stayed at Secrets Cap Cana Punta Cana. We could have stayed there again this trip but I wanted to try a different resort. We narrowed it down to Hyatt, Sanctuary Cap Cana, & Secrets. We went with the middle priced resort. Sanctuary was way cheaper than Hyatt & Secrets. I'm still hoping I made the right decision. The food & service was unbelievable at Secrets. We chose a club level 1 bedroom ocean view master suite, bc it was the highest room option they had available when we booked our trip last minute. I love the DR! Everyone is so nice & it's gorgeous! ❤ Thanks for the video! ❤

I will not return, night life sucks and food was not good ....and ac lacking, all else is beautiful and alot of water sports.. and super hot and rooms was not good , floor always wet from humidity in the room ...

I find that sometimes its best to just go and find out for myself. The last All inclusive i stayed at had mixed reviews but a decent rating. A few reviews named and shamed a particular guy, but when i met him in person he was really nice. I guess sometimes unfortunately some can catch people on bad days or sometimes there is a bit of a culture clash? A lack of understanding regarding how people in a particular country do business or communicate?

Thanks for the advice. Im from the UK and this will be my first time in this side of the world. I've seen so much confusing advice from mainly Americans regarding how much to tip. Some of the amounts suggested by Americans are eye watering as a Brit. The amounts you suggested are very reasonable though. This is so valuable as a Brit because like Japan we dont have a tipping culture. Asking Americans for advice always usually ends up with Americans insulting British culture and going on about how amazing America is. Like my recent trip to Antalya in Turkey i generally tipped when i was getting waited on and left money when i got my room cleaned. Never really tipped when i bought one drink. Gonna go and buy my dollars soon 😎

NO. Keep the toxic tipping culture in the US. An ALL INCLUSIVE trip costs thousands, it's not cheap. Your cost includes good service, else I would just go behind the bar and mix my own drinks. Some people save up for these trips. Some people don't have access to US dollars. Some people don't want to fuss about paying any more when they take an all inclusive. Some people think that you shouldn't pay an employer's employees.

Allure isn't the cheapest category. There are just junior suites, then Allure, then Xhale.

We had a terrible experience there. Mediocre or bad food. Service was slow or non existent. Rooms and resort is outdated and broken. Not worth the money in my opinion. What a shame

Hey, I gotta say, I don't get this video at all. I watched some of your other recent ones, and you gave better-hell, higher-reviews for places like the RUI Palace Macao and Lopesan Punta Cana. So, what gives? Why didn't those make the cut here? I'm trying to figure out the best spot to hit up as a single guy who's pretty laid-back but still wants to make sure the food and the nightly entertainment ROCK. So, how come those resorts, which you clearly liked in your other reviews, didn’t even get a mention in this one? Especially with all the negatives you pointed out on the ones in this video. Could you recommend one or two for me and give a basic break down why you loved those places in your independent reviews but left them out here? Thanks... 😉

We are going in November flying in on a Sunday around 2 pm on American, so likely terminal B from what I've read. We've never been to tne DR. We opted to do the VIP airport arrival and private transfer to tne Hyatt Zilara. We are staying club level in a suite as well. Room Description: 1 King:Club Ocean View Balcony:1238 sq Suite Separate Living Room:Sleeper Sofa:Tub. Any recommendations on dining, butler services, and things/places to avoid? Any issues making dinner reservations? Requesting beverages, as a club level guest, do you get a higher quality cocktail/drink menu at the restaurants and not low quality liquor or beer, etc. We've never done an all-inclusive. We usually rent private homes or stay in boutique resorts when traveling in the Caribbean.Are there umbrellas and chairs on the beach, a separate area for club level guests on beach? Hello, which one would recommend between the Riu Republica and the Breathless for February 2025 for people in their 22-30 years. Considering cleanliness, safety, entertainment and the beach.

My family still has trauma from our experience at that hotel. We were harassed on the beach and at the pool, and pressured by locals to make purchases. A staff member at the pool was disrespectful to us when we declined to buy an excursion. Additionally, we were scammed by the membership representatives. It seems that the hotel has members working there who contribute to the unpleasant atmosphere.

I am staying currently at lopesan and my experience has been very bad since the beginning! I wont recommend this place to anyone.

That was biggest complaint as well. We were there in October and the pool was absolutely uncomfortably hot.

This part i get stuck with is when they ask for flight number. If you have two different flights .I dont know which flight number theyre asking for lol are they asking the flight number you eave from or the flight i arrive to the country with. I been to the dr once. I had no issues. I just cant remember what i filled out when i arrived or when i left the country as for the flight number. Everything is on the form is easy

Yea was there at a resort for 12 days. Of all the resorts iv been to... you get harrased WAY more in punta cana, like you won't even have time to set your bag down. Plus they will follow you deep into the beach. Made it to where we stopped even going to the beach.

This hotel Royalton Bavaro Lobby has a thief, fat guy with large breasts. They will ask you for a security deposit and then steal the money and charge it to a taxi company..... You would have to cancel your bank card and report fraud.And the hotel would say nothing was charged to your card even after they asked to put a security hold..... Don't go there and don't fall for the hype.

Was there a few weeks ago... Couldn't have asked for a better time, however we did encounter an unsettling cockroach in our room. I'd request a room not on the ground level and place towels down behind the door. Rooms were very nice though. Food was excellent. Fun people of all ages. Close to party zone as well. Would definitely recommend.
