You would probably like the new Ducati Monster + ... It is easy as hell to ride once you get used to the hydraulic clutch and turn, stop, go slow with ease then the engine has power forever if you need it but you don't need to go fast to have fun but when you want to it can be a superbike or a cruiser. It is 6 bikes in one depending on the riding mode and settings you do for it. It can back the power down to 70hp or give you full 111.

There is one close, but the sales guy was a giant douche, saying 'my daughter could ride this bike, youre a grown man, you need a bigger bike, what the f()* are you doing, youre wasting your time, i'm gonna rake you over the coals for for the trade in value' and the like. I'm convinced he just didnt wanna waste his time with a more budget bike. Maybe his commission was based on cost or size bike? I don't know. But I left and said I'm not giving you or your company a sale like that. So, on principle I'm looking a little farther away to see who can get this bike in for my first.

1. Why dont you just put a thick clip-on enlagement pod on the sidestand? 2. ageed, the cheap dash comes directly from the 401. What can you expect? hope someone comes up with a better aftermarket piece. rev limit? just try, it has a rev limiter, you’ll see how far it goes. and if it does weird things, there has been a recall. 3. that’s a 2018? the clutch cylinder has been a recall as well! 4. allways keep the battery fully charged. these electronics are pissy with mediocre charging. heating grips and additional lights might be too much already.

Most bikes like a Kawasaki 650 are easier to ride at a steady speed on backroads in 5th rather than 6th. The 850 is different. At 50 mph on roads like that the V7 will be easier to ride in sixth. The bike will just roll along at a steady speed more effortlessly at a lower rpm. It is the ultimate cruiser.

At last, somebody who gets it. It's funny, I've watched alot of videos on this bike; mostly younger folk and they just don't have a clue. One guy was ranting about the terrible transmission and mushy shifting. Mushy shifting????? The only mush is between his ears. After 55 years of riding this is the most enjoyable bike I've ever owned: The comfort, the handling, the sheer mechanicalness of it. Effortless torque, great gas milage and fatigue free ease of riding over distance are just a bonus. And the shaft drive!!!!! What a bike! Also I'm six-four and I'm a happy camper. Normally I sit at the back in the rider section of the seat for comfort, but there is room to shift more toward the front of the seat for awesome handling in the twisties. Serious fun.

Wow. Are you not aware that we have a federal government? The stupid turn signals are mandated by the DOT. Our outdated specs are based on square inches, not the light volume. Same with the taillight. Look at the European version of this bike and you’ll see how it was designed to be. As for the gear indicator, it is not a switch and contact affair like some bikes have. It CALCULATES the gear based on math. It uses rpm vs speed to figure it out. Of course it can’t calculate anything with the clutch pulled because you are not “in any gear” as far as the bike can tell. Dragging your foot is because you point your toes at the ground. Learn to ride like an Italian, or any racer. Put the ball of your foot on the peg, not the arch. The government also mandates the sound. So none of your complaints are caused by Moto Guzzi. I know this is an old video so I hope you have learned how to pronounce it.

@@bikerbeliever8169 the motor * is good…I can accept that depending on the yard stick being used. I mean it’s functional and reliable but that’s it. Not to diminish those features it’s just …I mean the ninja 400 motor is even better imo because at least you can rev that thing out. The 650 is barely more performative than the 400, a bit more down low but even top speeds of the z400 vs z650 for example are basically identical. There’s just too many far superior options. You have to want a new bike, a small & light bike…cruiser style no less, a Japanese bike….at this price range and with 650 power. If you’re willing to alter any 1 or 2 of those metrics there’s much better options. Willingness to buy used destroys this as even an option imo. I like its looks, I’ll give it that. I’d rather the w800 though by far.

This bike is one of the best looking and most unique bikes on the market even in 2024. This bike stock is good to go. The only thing I changed was the mirrors, I put bar end mirrors on my bike. The stock exhausts sounds and looks good to me. Photos and videos do not do the looks and sound of the bike any justice. Everybody talks about "character" when they ride a cruiser. What they really mean is the chug chug chug of a V-Twin. I've had my share of Japanese V-twins and four Harleys (never again). I think I would like the smoothest of the Vulcan S. If I ever buy one I might change the rear spocket to a smaller one which would lower the rpm at highway speeds, and help the throttle not feel "jerky". It would lose a little bit of the quick response, but I don't plan to go racing anyway.
