Steve is the man he owns it! that guitar tone! He truly is a master of the electric guitar I love Ritchie's guitar playing on the Joe Lynn Turner era of Rainbow (Perfect Strangers is ok too. I love his "staccato" on that 80's records)

Like Dean Martin vs. Frank Sinatra: one casual, the other intense. Both good guitarists, but I think Richie has an advantage when it comes to playing pieces by Deep Purple or Rainbow.

I can understand those who were impressed by Blackmore wanting to live in nostalgia, but comparing them as players independent of Deep Purple songs... Morse can't be touched.

Se for comparar a importância na história do rock seria o Ritchie, mas como guitarrista é o Steve Morse mesmo.Tenho certeza de que Ritchie Blackmore não consegue tocar a música 'Tumeni Notes' e outras composições de Steve Morse, mas o Steve Morse consegue tocar todos os solos do Deep Purple mesmo tendo artrite nas mãos. 😂😂😂 Sem contar o feeling que o Steve Morse tem quando ele executa os solos.

I like Eric Clapton more super clean, smooth and fast but also hard and soulful, but I think Jimmy Page is also impressive.

I like both bands but Dan is a better guitarist and the black keys are a way better band. Jack's a bit overrated. The white stripes sound like a carnival, almost circus like music.

Eric is absolutely on fire here. To be fair, this isn’t Jimmy’s best, but it is good. Clapton is technically a better guitarist than Page, but Jimmy’s brilliant as well.

IMO, Jimmy Pages greatest playing was on his Fender Telecaster. Ok, I heard that his solo on Whole Lotta Love was his Les Paul, as was his second solo on Heart Breaker… and without doubt that is some great playing. His greatest solo however on Stairway was indeed his beloved Tele…enough said….🥲👍

I never cared for Blackmore, never loved his sound or style, and it's Steve Morse who spiked my interest in Deep Purple's music.

It's kind of funny to compare quite ok musicians. Anyway, I've seen both live and they are very different. So it's like comparing Metallica and Megadeth, and in this case of course Blackmore would be Metallica. But nowadays (2024) I prefer to listen to Megadeth.

Steve Morse is so much better than Ritchie it made Ritchie give up the electric guitar!! And Steve is a great guy!

eddie was heavily influenced by page, he even come up with his signature tapping style from heartbreaker guitar solo, he also calling him great producers and innovators, jimmy page also once said eddie was on another level, he could never be able to play like him and had nothing but high praise for the man
