I know my query is not related to the video, I'm sorry for that. I've been asking this question to relevant people (Those who've done MSBA after ACCA) on LinkedIn, I'm pasting it as it is, so that hopefully you too would share some insight: "Hi, I hope you're doing well. I'm currently doing ACCA and I'm really interested in Business Analytics. As someone with an ACCA certification and a master's in business Analytics, it would be very kind of you if you could share some insights. 1. Is doing MSBA after ACCA a next step that'll take me forward, or is it a career change? 2. Are the two compatible? Is it a good combination? 3. Would you recommend it to someone doing ACCA? 4. What are the career prospects with this kind of a background? 5. Can this sort of educational background lead to a lucrative career? 6. I've read a bit on the internet about data analytics and data science being used in FP&A, M&A, and accounting analytics, etc. Is it realistic for someone doing ACCA to try to go into these fields with the help of MSBA? If you have any other insights that you think might help me, please share them with me." Link to Subjects taught in ACCA: www.accaglobal.com/pk/en/student/getting-started/acca-qualification-structure.html#exams Link to the program I would like to get into: www.nu.edu.pk/Program/MS(BA) I want to specialize in Finance, the four electives are Financial modelling, Fintech/Data science for Finance, Time series analysis and Financial Risk Management. I would truly be grateful if you chose to reply. Thank you.

I have a question. I am trying to change career field. I have no experience in accounting/Finances. However, I have experience in construction management for the past 4 years. I want to change field, but I am currently in school for accounting at LAGCC then transfer to Pace. I am 4.00 GPA. Is it possible to work in the accounting with a degree in process?

I’m exactly where you were at the start of your career, just made senior in financial services audit at pwc. I notice a lot of senior accountant roles in industry require experience in month end closes, financial statement preparation, and accounting software like Quickbooks. Did you have issues translating your audit experience to industry skills when interviewing?
@TheFinancialController2 күн бұрын
These types of experiences will gathered over the years once you go over to industry. In interviews, speak to how you reviewed clients month end procedure, so on

Does it matter where you get your MBA from - assuming it is accredited? I’m currently a software engineer debating on making the switch and I’d have 150 credits and the required amount of accounting courses to take the CPA. Though idk if they’d hire someone with a comp science undergrad MBA with CPA.
@TheFinancialController2 күн бұрын
The school matters, but still there is a good amount of value as long as accredited. Yes, you can get hired with undergrad non Accounting so long as you get your CPA

Ironically, people in the workforce like to call workers lazy but they are too lazy to train their employees. I find that ironic.

A “Good receipt” does not credit AP. It credits a Liability account. Matching an invoice to a PO receipt is what credits the Payable account. Once you make the payment you debit AP and Credit Cash.
