I have always loved the theme music n was thus attracted to see the movie. Beautiful acting n direction. The love is intense but sooo subtle. Loved venice in the background ❤

Same old formula marriage is the secret of happiness - you'd think for an 80's movie things would be more liberated. Is this a US/Hollywood thing?

Funny, that was Jack Black as one of the Nasties. I get to laughing as it comes to mind when Jack Black played the saxaboom on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

It's a good movie. We get used to certain characters that were first introduced but if we look at this as a fresh new story you will appreciate it more. To many people today only want blood and guts but this is a fresh approach.

Thanks for posting. I have always enjoyed this film,. It is really solid, with Durrenmatt's great story and Morricone's score ensuring it is never boring. The violinist was Pinchas Zuckerman, and Durrenmatt himself plays a small role as the writer. There is a longer version of it which I have never seen and would really like to find.

Maintained my interest all the way through. Loved the on location shots, the outfits and the way the movie went back and forth to San Fran and L.A. I always knew where Harry was and never got the story mixed up. Great writing and pacing,
