Significant songs shared with a Special Someone. From late 2003 to late 2007 I lived in central Fremantle (Western Australia ), and I spent a lot of time with two beautiful fun and lovely people; one was a talented hard working fun-loving musician, who I’d known since he was about 16 & I was about 19 (so at that time about 20 years of fine good friendship); the other person was his friend and she was a woman like no other and it didn’t take long for me to fall madly for her. - One of the passions we shared together was the love of music . _ In about 2005 we walked the short distance to the Fremantle Arts Center to catch a John Butler concert The John Butler Trio was huge at the time and being a Freo Boy there was a feeling this would be a big show and it was. The lasting memory of this show for me was during the song “Peaches and Cream”, we had a great spot in the crowd, we were standing bopping and swaying to the tunes and having a cute little cuddle and my heart was full of Love; - two main parts of the lyrics caught me “she filled my half empty cup”, …. _ and “ all I know is .. all I know is, I love you, I love you”. A warm and loving moment and a beautiful time. Best Wishes and Peace to you Precious Petal 😍 Yes - I love you - Dave and Peta - Blessings

Don't call me hippy cause the way that I look , Cause I got a recipe and you know I can cook And I come forth with only good intent, You know I am Heaven bound but I'm surely hell bent On getting the job done like I know I should, Get the job done like my momma told me to. Only one thing can remember she said, You gotta earn all of your respect. And I don't care what race or what colour or what creed All that shit don't bother me, Only one thing that you should not forget , You gotta treat you mama with little respect And I don't care what fashion the styling of you hair, I don't care about the car or the clothes you do wear. Only one thing that you should not forget , You gotta treat yo mama with respect. Treat yo mama with little respect You better treat yo mama with little respect Slap you upside down the head You better treat yo mama with little respect Solos I got a couple of friends up in a tree in Northcliff You know they're doing their part You know they're doing their bit. Trying to save our Mother from all this greed You know they know what she wants, You know they know what she needs. I got a couple of sisters in South Australia, Stopping the Uranium from coming up, Oh yeah man you know they know what she needs They're stopping all of that government corporate greed!

If he were alive today he’d have to change his name to “Native American Larry” or risk getting cancelled.

I have searched all over the internet for this exact video! I saw it 12ish years ago, it resonated in my soul because I couldn't remember anything except # of guitar strings and guy with dreadlocks, the tile for some reason I thought was "for Lilly" but finding this makes my heart happy. My fav live version of the song❤

This will always be my "original" version of the song, first one i listened to maybe 15 years ago while working in my hometown. Now I live on the other side of the world. Still coming back to listen to this masterpiece by a fucking wizard at the height of his powers.
