It was a tragedy. Larry was ripped in his most successful period of his life. We have lost a wonderful person too early. He was just starting to show the people what it means to live and to realize his dream. For me, he was one of the people who inspired me the most. His mental quality and Phillosopie was great. +jhanlon1903 I know. My friend Spencer and I got to meet Larry at a bike show in New York when we were both 8 because Spencer's father loves bikes. He signed our posters and took pictures with us. The most down to earth guy you could ever think of and when he died, a part of me died with him. I still got that picture on my desk at work and I decided when I die, I want to be buried with it in my shirt pocket.

I met Idian Larry back in April of 1990 in New York City at his motorcycle shop by accident. Nice guy. One day I walk into a shoe repair and leather shop in Brooksville, Fl. and there was a leather jacket saying Indian Larry died back in 1998-9! What a way to find out someone you met years ago has died 😪. I used to watch his builds on T.V.. One of my favorite builds Indian Larry did was the chain link frame bike. Also the bike with the exaust come out under the seat and Larry's ass caught fire! Now every motorcycle out there almost has the exaust under the seat. Seeing this video makes me sad he is gone.

I was in prison at South Florida reception center, when I read it in the papers. Sad, sad news. I was released 13 months after. I recently bought a "Fuck the world" derby cover for my 2008 HD. If he didn't stand up on his bike, if he wore a helmet, he wouldn't have been Indian Larry.
@deborahwood93047 жыл бұрын
Yes he would have - his name was not in stunts as much as his craft - and if he wore protection he'd probably still be alive. It's just foolish and selfish to ride, much less perform stunts, without head protection - a car turned left in front of me and I slid 65 feet into a curb head first - it split a Bell helmet BUT had I not had the helmet on my head would have ruptured like a raw egg... if you have no fear of dying or being paralyzed, if you have a death wish, or if you have simply faced and defied your mortality and don't mind leaving behind grieving family and friends, be my guest - sure they are going to say "he died doing what he loved" but TRUST ME if he had KNOWN he was going to die he never would have died doing what he loved! Every survivor of a Golden Gate suicide attempt has said - the instant I jumped I wanted to take it back. I will say it beats suffering with an illness and knowing you have a date with death.
@blacksheep69967 жыл бұрын
Indian knew all these things and yet chose to ride the way he did. Many people do! Why are motorcycles even legal in the first place? 70-80 even 100 mph on a glamorized bicycle? It's a crab shoot every time you get on one. You could wear a suit of armor and still be killed at the first traffic light. I had a friend that died when they cut his helmet off and released the pressure. I've had stiches in numerous places, one elbow broke and burn marks all over my legs and yet I still ride.
@1silvervespa5 жыл бұрын
He was nicked named for Riding An Indian Motor cycle ...... He will hopefully help more people wear helmets . He could still be here . Just like thousands of other head injury deaths. His name had nothing to do with weather he wore a helmet or not .
