Your stupid hunting endangered animals like this
@THEHuntingChannel
@THEHuntingChannel 3 күн бұрын
Not so stupid if you think of what this hunt achieves. The funds raised from hunting this one pay for conservation programs in place to protect these animals from poachers who will take three or four or five at a time. Have you ever noticed in our videos that the hunters do not just take the first animal they see? Or shoot everything they see? The animal to hunt are pre selected for a reason, mostly old age, and that specific one must be found, not just any one.

so sad to kill such a beautiful native animal for no reason!!!
@THEHuntingChannel
@THEHuntingChannel Ай бұрын
You are slightly mistaken by the 'no reason' remark. There is a huge reason called conservation. Yearly a few animals are selected for hunting, normally the old ones past their prime and the income generated by this finances the needed actions to protect the herds against poaching and also growing the herds under this protection. Also herds must not grow too big otherwise the habitat will not last through winter and all animals will suffer when vegetation becomes depleted. A fine balance is needed to make sure these animals will still be here 10 years from now.

The body doesn't need that much protein. You can get it from plants and beans. The body needs glycogen in the muscles which is created through carbs, salts and electrolytes. I take a fridge to work and I load up with litres upon litres of fluid with salt tablets and electrolytes and pure carb power which I sip all day long out in the hot sun. That's why I don't get burn out like other people do and can still go to the pool and do a 2hr swim or some other kind of training after. It's becuase I'm keeping my glycogen stores topped up. Hi Dan. Very interesting indeed. I'm not a big health nut but I try to live healthy to fit my lifestyle. I can see the benefits of your way, but believe it it tough for the average guy in Africa to do the same. Most of the population don't have fridges, don't have stores nearby to get all the fancy stuff from, also don't have the funds to do so. What we try to achieve, and it actually works very well, is to feed people with this meat. If we don't, they'll go out and put snares up for bush meat. This kills the wildlife population very very quickly and there will be none left. Feeding the local people helps to protect wildlife AND it feeds people. Question: These hippos seem to be within an enclosure of sorts, i.e. not free to roam, hence the person saying hippo shooting and not hunting? Also before answering, note I have hunted hippos before and even had a charge, so please understand that some of us know what we see. This is not a good way to hunt. It is essentially a canned hippo hunt from the behaviour of the animals and the hunters modus operandi.
@THEHuntingChannel
@THEHuntingChannel 2 ай бұрын
It's not in the mighty Zambezi, if that's what you mean, but it's also not in a cage. Remember that habitats differ, dam sized differ. Hippo move around a lot and they end up in small pons sometimes. In both Zim and Zambia I've seen hippo in ponds that isn't even deep enough to cover their backs. I'm happy to hear that you had a good hunt, and even experienced a charge. Where did you hunt?

Chewore is great. I haven't filmed much in South but have filmed often in North. I don't understand why you say these are enclosed hippos. As you know you cannot really enclose hippo, they go where-ever they want to go. This is a big enough dam and area to maintain a pod of this size very comfortably. An enclosed area won't have enough food and they will destroy everything in the area. I have filmed many areas all over Africa and even in the wildest places you can stand talking close to hippo without them moving away. They feel safe in the water and will bob up and down for hours. Sometimes they will move off but they always return because they are very territorial. I understand your concert, though.
