Thank you! You're the only video I could find on the bendix. A big help!

What were your exact symptoms? My 600R has 8000 miles and turns over slowly only sometimes (like its a weak battery). New battery made no change to the intermittent symptom. Seems like an actual starter motor problem... unless this is what you were observing at first? (I did install a manual pull start recently to keep it from stranding me)

Probably have a starter issue if you've already replaced the battery. The bendix wont effect how fast the motor is turning over. The bendix will either engage or not

Do you happen to have the part number of your glove box extension? I’m having great difficulty trying to find the correct one for my Lynx Rave that fits properly from BRP.

Thank you for this video - very helpful! I have a ‘19 Renegade 850 XRS with ~ 12,500 mi. I experienced similar symptoms as you starting around 10k mi. I added the pull start option which gave me an extra season, but now I have purchased a new starter driver and starter and am ready to replace them. Just to be clear, you did not have to remove the motor to replace the starter driver? What I think I learned from your video is that the starter driver can be replaced by 1) moving the CPS out of the way, 2) moving the magneto housing away from the motor against the inside of the chassis, then 3) removing the flywheel from the machine. This will create enough room to remove the old starter driver and replace it with the new one. Did I get that correct? Thanks again.

Doing this repair now on same sled, great info ,followed your steps and so far not to bad. One thing I did that made the task alot easier was to remove the lower side panel. Drilled out 5 rivets and had way more access and visibility. Thanks again!

Umm, there's no adjustment at the cable "nut". The adjustment is all in the nuts on the valves

I weigh 260 with gear and now has caddy or bags and mine is set similar to yours to get the perfect t sag. Those bags and caddies being soo far back on the tunnel sure change the suspension a lot.. don’t change your limiter strap, if you change liek your buddies you are losing suspension travel. Learn to lean forward and lean off sides like the sled is designed for. It is supposed to be able to pop front up over bumps at anytime. Just don’t tighten limiter strap. Mine as well buy a mxz XRS if your gonna do that as that is more your style and then you get full suspension.

Thank you for the video. I am doing this repair right now. This is not an easy repair. I'd like to see how you got to some of these screws.

Had to get an longer bit to reach way in side to get to all the bolts around the Flywheel. As I mentioned in the video you will have to get a Flywheel Puller and a Holder to hold the P-Clutch in place while you loosen and tighten back up the Flywheel when you are done. Only when you remove the Flywheel will you be able to get at all the bolts. Don't forget to remove the bolts for the Positioning Sensor. It will stop you from removing the Flywheel.......The Starter Teeth will not allow you to remove Flywheel. Bob Tel: 617-803-4138

What a job I just did mine yesterday absolutely no room to work the steering colum is in the way also oil tank. I loosen the oil tank and slid it over that helped alot. I will never attempt this again dont care how much it cost i will bring it to the dealer next time. I have had five different ski doo 600 carb models and cleaning the exhaust valves where easy and quick on them. I have 4000 miles on my 2018 850 etec valves where not bad I always run xps oil but had an oil leak on the two shafts that's why I did mine. Maybe I should of removed the exhaust and steering colum to do this job not sure how the dealership does it but has to be a better way?

He is correct on trying to get a busted pin out but for me it’s a busted punch stuck in the bolt. Now I have to remove the bearing and pound it out the opposite way. A 2 hour job turned into a full day with running around for parts and tools, cost me more time and money but it is what it is. There has to be a better design to replace a wear part tho. What a pain.

Thanks for the video!!! To be clear the service is just a cleaning of carbon build-up on the valves, right? Is it suggested to replace any seals while in there or is that not needed?

The service was for oil leaking. He states as such in the first 30 seconds.

@@ktajax Yep, got that. Was asking that the service is just cleaning, and not *replacing* anything.
