Very cool video of the unloader. We have many Harvestore silos here in Mid Michigan. Always have wanted to check them out.

Your videos really make dairy farming come alive for us in the city. Thank you for making these videos. When you get a chance, maybe you can make one of how cows get milked. Thank you and keep up the good work. Stay safe.

After hearing the recent speech of a Wisconsin Dairy Farmer at a political convention, I came to your page to get an idea of what dairy farming is like. Thanks for posting this video. For those of us, like me- an urban dweller, who know almost nothing about dairy farms, a few captions might be helpful. For example, you have great video of harvesting but what are your harvesting and is it for the cows or a 2nd crop you grow? Thanks again. I'll look at some more on your channel.

Do yours cows get to get out in the pasture? How often do you milk?
@adamwolf70566 жыл бұрын
No this video was shot at the 1000 cow dairy so I'm assuming your asking about that farm. In that case all the cows from 1 month up are in freestall facilities before breeding they are on bedding packs starting in an individual hutch then in groups of 20 then in a pen of thirty then in a pen of 50 then

Mark Hoogendyk one of the biggest reasons for building it was we fed up with having to dig snow out of hutches and they were in the elements in any weather

@adamwolf70566 жыл бұрын
The corn doesnt even get driven by the harvestores if its over 20. We have two drying bins of our own or the local elevator/mill has to store grain from us anyway. Sorry if the video was shaky. I didnt have time to unhook the gopro from the drone to put it on my head.

by the sounds of your farming operation you never have a slow day, summer or winter with having that many cows to milk and feed and clean daily. u might might be the biggest farm kids that i have found on You Tube but i just found a farm kid from Kentucky whom farm 2500 acres or more,but its really really hard to understand him with his southern accent plus he talks super fast plus he stutters . i think he or they get a double crop off each year with first wheat planted, harvest then oats or barley planted over the wheat stubble, but like i just said its kinda hard to fully understand him, but am sure i will figure him out better after a while. he said they were harvesting their wheat on May 15 thats the same time we plant wheat up here, so thats why they can get 2 crops off a year, as of monday they had 300ac of corn left to combine.
@adamwolf70566 жыл бұрын
Alan Cooper combine ain't even thought about
@alancooper53866 жыл бұрын
my error, that kid from kentucky they planted 2500 of corn plus other crops so he did not tell me their total acres , just thinking about the differences in hay crops your region gets compared to here. i asked my cousin how many times do they cut their hay fields he said 1 main time then if we get lots of rain another half size after harvest is completed, seen the iowaboys getting 4th cutting finished, am just wondering if the ummmm region has more humidity there that you can get 4 cutting of hay of each field. sorry i know u hate these messages here, but i don't got $ for a iphone plus the monthly user charges, much easier to use the family internet system with my laptop and it costs me zero $ so yea i don't know if i can get that instagram or snapchat on a laptop to chat with u. may just have to stop.

woooo good am not the first this time, i seen our neighbour just bought those kind of disks our is the ummmm i guess old style where there is a bunch of disks on a shaft, whle yours looks like each is separate, bet its a piece of cake changing bearing on then, wooooo father gets pissed when a bearing goes in our disks,takes a mega mega strong man to just loosen the end nut and then removed everything just to get to the broken bearing. but i have to say that my idea for removing that end nut worked awesome even if my father just laughed at my idea, but later i got a smile and a thank you which was totally awesome.
@alancooper53867 жыл бұрын
yea i am the one with the big mouth who leaves comments, just thinking about your farm compared to the other kid from your state, no comparsion at all. they are like ummm 50+years behind in there farming practices, they use a corn picker to harvest their corn then put the whole cobs into ummm wire corn cribs. he only showed video and never explained stuff i had to describe stuff to other farm channels to learn what they were even doing. i am just guessing but i bet u have a combine not a corn picker to harvest your corn.
@adamwolf70566 жыл бұрын
We have an axial flow 6088 to harvest grain corn and a john Deere 7780 prodrive chopper to do silage. we also have 1000 milking cows so its kinda required
@alancooper53866 жыл бұрын
u better speed things up down there cause its turning WHITE up here tonite, and just under 10% of the harvest has been done. The old old timers predicted a extra extra early snow fall for this year and looks like they are right, if this keeps up it will be worst than last years harvest when 18% was done and during Christmas week the weather was the best it was in 3 months and every farm was out harvesting, but it did not last long as the rest was harvested in May, the time everyone up here seeds/plants crops

u must got rained on. never un sub yet, how old r u. when i came to You Tube i wanted to find another farm kids around my age that we could efriend . found a awesome one kid but he blocked me after 3 days and he was also from your state, and now became interested in your state, the rural looks, how the land is and stuff cause that other dick head is in the past now. a drone would be awesome stuff too see.
