I have this very bad. My grandfather also did. I’m allergic to almost all fruits and vegetables. We’ve found that microwaving/cooking the food heavily suppresses the allergy. It’s no joke, my grandfather almost died early from eating a raw apple. I tend to eat a lot of processed food as well as an alternative but that’s not a healthy solution.
@SamTheUndying2 ай бұрын
Had a similar story, I would get a breathable small lump in the back of my throat and stomach pain for a few hours after for small amounts of vegtables/plant products. My grandpa had the same thing but it was attributed to an accident when he was younger, which was probbably undiagnosed OAS. It could also be a recessive trait as it seems to skip some generations. I once ate a bowl of grapes as I was trying to stay healthy and ended in bed sick for 3 days vomiting+ more. It happens for carrots, especially, kiwis and to a lessor extent apples and some types of lettuce. I never tried anything similar like strawberries out of fear. Stewed vegetables in a crackpot/roast actually dont trigger any side effects with carrots at least. I have also been able to eat the canned to cooked varieties to no ill effects. Idk if it helps for everyone, but god speed man this allergy makes dieting horrible. Im just glad my parents trusted me as a kid with this horrible thing.
@SamTheUndying2 ай бұрын
it also triggers with Tuna in a similar fashion but that might be a different allergy it just has identical symptoms.
@kovin_kestnar49K2 ай бұрын
@@SamTheUndying yeah it’s all absolutely the same with me. I’ve struggled a lot with my weight as a result of it because processed foods seem to be the only thing that don’t murder me. Interesting your grandfather had an accident that triggered it, similar story with mine. He got in a really bad motorcycle accident and that’s when his OAS really sparked bad. I’m glad adults in my life were compassionate and understanding as well. I ate a banana at work a little while ago and almost had to be sent to the hospital the pain was so unbearable. Chest, throat, stomach, the works. Be careful out there. Given how rare it is it’s good to hear I’m not alone with this.

Hey, watching my hives inflammation fade day after day until they completely vanished was such a relief, I went with what I pointed out and within the first 10 days or so the urticaria/angioedema was barely visible! I just go'ogled the latest by Shane Zormander and after 20 days my skin has never been healthier!

I suffer from Relapsing Polychondritis, an immune-mediated inflammatory disease, I developed the disease at the age of 13 in the distant 2002 during the application of allergen-specific immunotherapy (SIT). Because allergen-specific immunotherapy causes changes in the immune system, it is possible that it may influence the induction of diseases mediated by the immune system, such as autoimmune diseases, even some doctors point to the induction of autoimmunity as one of the possible consequences of long term of the SIT. It appears that increased concentrations of IL-10 and TGF-B, as well as changes in the Th2/Th1 balance, could lead to autoimmune problems in people undergoing SIT. Relapsing Polychondritis is a Th1- and IL-10 mediated condition. In the medical literature there are several cases published over several years such as that of Dr. Ghorschi et al, “Manifestation of rheumatoid arthritis during subcutaneous allergen-specific immunotherapy”, “Scleroderma related to specific immunotherapy. Maciel BM Clinical Case, Morphine BM.” “Turkcapar N, M. Sjogren’s syndrome induced by specific immunotherapy.”, Pemphigoid-like reaction by allergen-specific immunotherapy: an unusual adverse reaction Margarita Tomás-Pérez, among others. The MDs, PhDs. Allan Linneberg and Andrzej Bozek carried out investigations where the cases of autoimmune disease that have occurred during or after the application of Specific Immunotherapy published in the medical literature are pointed out, their conclusion is that the development of autoimmune diseases in patients with allergic diseases undergoing SIT it is rare, but as a precautionary principle it is extremely important to evaluate people in terms of the risk of autoimmunity before the application of allergen-specific immunotherapy. There are several cases of people who have developed autoimmune diseases during this treatment, many of these cases have not been published, and as Dr. Linneberg mentions, it is a sensitive issue that important measures must be taken. In the main guidelines for the use of specific immunotherapy, such as the EAACI, the DGAKI and in the forums of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology AAAAI, the topic is mentioned. Research and published cases acknowledge the great ignorance and uncertainty that prevails in this area and calls for a strong precautionary principle in relation to allergen-specific immunotherapy and the risk of autoimmune diseases. I was treated negligently by an allergist member of the National Council of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (CONICA) in Mexico, my case was not published in the literature. My health was destroyed by Allergen Specific Immunotherapy and a negligent Allergist.

Honestly, thank you so much. I’ve been to speech therapy, I’ve been doing the vocal exercises, but I am still constantly using my inhaler everyday and have been for years. I struggle with VCD and asthma, but mainly the VCD. The exercises do work, but only work temporarily. I had never heard of the tongue rolling to the back of the mouth thing. It definitely helped. Almost all my symptoms were gone. I am going to continue doing that Laing with the other exercises daily. Thank you thank you!

I've been having mucus problems for years now even before COVID. A doctor told me I have Rhinitis and had a nose infection in my left nostril. I smoke cannabis but used to smoke tobacco cigar "swisher sweets" I don't smoke tobacco no more but I do smoke cannabis. I still have this problem even though it cleared up alot after taking antibiotics. I think I may need more antibiotics I get postnasal drip and congestion after smoking now . When i wake jp too early i get these reactions. and truly the stuff you eat that day. Because the less bloating the better i feel the day after in the morning.. I think it has to do with stomach acid flowing into your throat. i used to smoke aswell. Night out, partying,... Resulted in the most aggressive reactions the day after. Does non-allergic rhinitis cause you to cough due to the post nasal drip? I’ve had the allergy test and they all came back negative.
