Of all the great guitars tones out there, still, there is nothing like the sound of the Fender Strat neck pickup.

I like a lot of different tones and attacks - Marshall/Les Paul especially. But, there is nothing quite like the neck pickup on a Fender Strat.

I think Terry Kath of the band Chicago used one on they're first album. Hendrix once stated that Terry was a better player than himself.

IIRC, Clapton used at least a Showman, if not a Dual Showman, during his Delaney and Bonnie and Derek and the Dominos period.

here's someting funny.. i have a VERY similar from an amp you wouldn't believe.. it 's a Marshall Mode Four.. the 4th channel is hard to believe how when dialed right.. sounds amazing i played the 'hide' the misterious amp and let the musician buddies say what amp it was.. and they were dumbfounded when they saw the amp take note that i am plugged into a single greenback cab..

Good Day Matthew. A little over a year ago, I finally bought a New 65' Reissue Super Reverb. I've wanted one for a long time. Don't know why I haven't bought one years or decades ago. About 2 years ago, I bought a new ToneMaster Twin Reverb. I, like yourself, love "Toys". I'm quite pleased with both amps. As always, your review and comments are excellent. I agree that Fender could have updated this amp with some other goodies. Maybe a Master Volume? One of those might be nice on my 65' Reissue Super. Yes, I'm a Fan. Thank You and Best Regards Always. Tim

I hope the strings were changed unless the point was to hear how the entire thing sounds. And A/B video with the old vs a new setup would be cool.

A little truss rod trick on these old resurrections. If the nut is stiff or even stuck try a hefty soldering iron or a Weller soldering gun if you have one. Simple heat the nut with the iron for a minute or two and gently try the wrench. Rince and repeat as necessary. Many times the brass will release from the steel rod.

99% of the guitar channels I watch I fast forward through the opening jam. But I love your style so much I actually mainly click on the videos for that. The talking is nice too though

Hi Matthew ! Just had a quick question unrelated to this guitar video. Was just wondering , do you deck the trem or do u float it ? And how many springs do u use? Just curious. Ty!

Mid-way through your video you stated you didn't know if we agreed with the repairs. Let me answer by asking another question: If a chuld falls and breaks a bone, which they cannot set or repair on their own, wouldn't 😂you do everything in your power to repair that break so the child can and will function near perfect again? Very nice work and video, Matthew. Thank you for sharing with me again.

I respect your hands on approach to not only repairing this guitar, but your organic playing style. As I am over twice your age, Matthew, and don't have to much more time...watching you work and play, I feel so much better knowing there are young like you to carry on. Thank you sir.

The Firebirds are probably the most stylish feminine guitars ever produced. I have a reverse and non-reverse. They are both incredible testimonials to the "golden years" of Gibson. Stunning looks and sounds! Great looks, great sounds, great player. Matthew, you are so reminiscent of Peter Green. Thank you for being here for us.

Matthew, I want to tell you how happy I am to see younger generations taking interest in these incredible instruments. After military service (1970_1973), in early 1974, I found myself very lonely and finally bought an excellent collection 1956 Les Paul Standard gold top/dark back. Through the years between my brother and I, we have had every desirable Gibson and Fender guitar imaginable. I still love it all! Keep the faith. Your guitars will never talk badly of you or stab your back. They will only talk sweetly back to you and give pleasure.

You need to hit up Trogly. He may want it for his museum and even if not he might want to buy it to document and then resell.
