My wife doesn't want me to set up a full-sized pinball machine at home. Therefore, I would like to buy something similar to: Pin Station by Gibson Pinball. This is a standalone controller for playing pinball on PC and in VR. However, it is currently unavailable for purchase. You have unique technical knowledge and experience. I, along with many others, would happily buy small pinball game controllers from you. Why do people need small pinball controllers? Because they can be easily shipped worldwide. Also, they are in much higher demand. Not everyone can afford a real large pinball table. It's not just about money, but also about the available space at home. Many people rent their homes. They would never buy a large table, but they would gladly buy a small realistic pinball controller. -- Dude, you yourself are already a global brand in the world of mini pinball controllers! This niche is free and not yet occupied by anyone. Why don't you want to turn your experience, knowledge, and skills into a business and make money? -- There are many people who are good electricians, good electronic engineers, good programmers, and good sound specialists. I could assemble a team from them. But if they are not passionate about pinball, they will not ultimately produce anything good. -- You have all of this at once! You could offer people three controller options based on a universal platform: Entry-level. Advanced level. And top-level. Today, no one in the world offers this.

I started sanding those legs with the intention of polishing them to a shine, which is why at first I took a lot of time to brush and sand them all way more than is necessary for just painting over them. Nice video. Although at 5:20 you say: "a red, a green and a blue one, and ofcourse ground." In reality, the ´ground´ is connected to the +3,3 V of the 2nd power module. The colour LED´s get pulled down to ground bij the FET´s on the Main Board to light up.
@overtinker.projectsАй бұрын
Yes you're right, this one slipped through, but it's indeed the ground side that gets connected for each color, while the common wire is the supplied voltage. I don't remember exactly what voltage they run on but it gets stepped down by the big resistors

Hi mate.Thanks so much for your series.Really great detail and help. After watching though I realise just how much work needs to go into it.While i will have the time and budget to build I dont think I can wait so long to be playing the final result.We have a company here in Australia called Extreme Gaming Cabinets that do a nice machine that would equal about €3500 to buy.While being more expensive than your fantastic build I think the extra cost to be playing sooner may be worth it. No matter what thanks again for your great series.
@overtinker.projectsАй бұрын
It took my very long, but it doesn't necessarily have to be that way. I wanted everything to be perfect, down to the small details, so that takes a lot more time than building something that needs to be playable. Also, I built for 2 years, but after about half a year I could already play. After that I could add things to it to enhance the experience, which is also great fun. Buying a machine is also definitely a good option, but I can't speak on any of the vendors as I don't have experience with them

@overtinker.projectsАй бұрын
Thanks! Good to know that my videos get picked up on Reddit as well :) I used a TPA3116D2 2.1 amplifier that supplies 2x 50W for the speakers in the speaker panel and 100W for the subwoofer. For SSF I started with 2 PAM8610 amplifiers that each supply 2x 10W for the exciters. I upgraded those amplifiers later on to 2 TPA3110D2 2.1 amplifiers who supply 2x 15W to the exciters and 30W to the subwoofer channel. The back subwoofer channel is connected to a Dayton Audio TT25 PUCK and the front subwoofer channel is connected to 2 Dayton Audio DAEX13CT coin exciters under the lockdown bar. Hope that helps :)

Hay great video , random question how long did it take you to edit this video ?
@overtinker.projectsАй бұрын
It's a bit hard to say. There's quite a lot to it. I already had all the footage of building the vpin, but I wrote scripts for each video so I could do a coherent voice over. Writing the script already took some time, then recording the voice over, editing out all the mistakes and making sure the tempo is good. Then, matching footage with the voice over and recording any missing B-roll and the intro amd outro. I actually don't know how much time I effectively spend on one video, but it takes me 2 to 4 weeks to get one done.

@overtinker.projects2 ай бұрын
Thanks! I didn't angle it, it sits straight. I never really have any issue with reflection on the playfield glass, but maybe that's due to the glass being more flat than 90s or modern pins since it's an EM cabinet
