does the mower have an oil pump? you assumed me? Has she been there before? because without it, what's the point of an oil filter? give me a link to the parts store, thanks for your help.

In CA, NONE can be sold after Jan 1, 2024. But maybe--I don't know, but maybe stock still on hand can be sold, as I said, I don't know. And I mean "no gas mowers".

Arirens, wants to be like Honda, but failed. I stand by my comment i made on the video where you reviewed this mower: "Ariens people NEED to have a coffee with the Honda people." lol

My Honda mows a half acre on a quart of gas, you do need to drain and replace about 12 oz of oil once a year.

Not worth buying. Not build good. I have one and I've had issues with it in less than a year. Don't buy it. I had a craftsman and that one lasted me for over 18 years. No issues.

Sometime I think you should do a review on Honda’s smallest garden tiller, powered by the 4 stroke GX25 engine. They’re really nice units and I see them last for a really long time

I just bought an HRN216VKAA a few days ago from an equipment dealer. They installed the fix for the started before I picked it up. Traded my old Honda push mower for this one that has the benefit of self power drive, and it's great, just like my "old" one.

Not the same quality build as their iconic snowblowers. Why not replace all the plastic with steel or aluminum?

But doesn’t this have basic all plastic wheels & plastic connectors from the mowing handle to the deck? 😮

As of Jan 1, of this year (2024) no gas engine mowers may be bought in CA. I wonder if they get around that by selling what is still in stock?

Thanks for the video. Thought I had a grub problem(brown patches in the summer) but also pull up like this. Thought maybe fungus (cause of the yellow/brown patches) but I’m pretty sure it’s this bentgrass. I live in southern Ontario (next to Detroit). Just wondering if I started the tenacity in August and finish round 2 by September so I can start the seeding and patch work in September to have more time in the fall with getting the grass growing and ready before Winter? Think I could aerate as well while doing this just before the seeding starts? Thanks

I got rid of my last Honda because you couldn't change the self-propel drive belt without pulling the engine. That was a mistake on my part as the red bull I replaced it with is the worst mower I've ever owned. But I do wonder, is this one a little easier to replace consumable parts on?

I could not release the front clip after yanking on it. Instead pulled the spark plug wire off the plug. With better access, easily wound the meter wire around the spare plug wire. Secured it with a zip tie and wrapped the coil in guerilla tape. Next fed the meter wire under the cover after first laying it on G tape and secured it. Then mounted meter with double stick tape, fed in the wire, and done after securing the loosened screws.

Have you tried leaving the mulch selector in between settings and what the result was? What's the real life long term user review of the Honda HRN /Hrx compared to the Toro super recycler for reliability, dependability, repairs / maintenance costs and enjoyment for larger yards? I just moved into a new home on a 1/3 acre lot

Damn I'm looking for a deck with the wheels and handles attached, no string. To convert a gas to electric with my good motor from a greenworks 60v who's deck shit the bed.

7:00 The new one will most likely last more than 20 years. Plastics have improved over time. Plastic carburetors will last as long as metal ones if they are designed well. And even if some had issues, that's mostly isolated cases. Cars had plastic intake manifolds for 30 years without any problems. There are 1000s of different plastic types and some of them cost more than metal.

I just got a new house on a 1/3 of an acre with a large walkout basement 🇨🇦. I'm still trying to decide what would be the best long term investment in a mower for durability, performance and reliability? I'm leaning to the two here in your review and the Toro super recycler unless there's something better to consider? What are your recommendations and why? I keep reading mixed reviews on these Honda's and the super recycler what's the truth? (I'm not that handy yet coming from condo living so reducing repairs and easy maintenance and joy of ownership are top of mind. Thanks again for it insights

I think regular ceramic coatings don't stand a chance against the violent action of grass and debris hitting the underside of the deck. Maybe a few cuts and then it's probably gone. You need ceramic coatings that are literally a thin layer of glass for better longevity. You know the kind that when applied to a painted surface never comes off and you have to use a polisher to get it off. Gyeon can coat and others come to mind.

Yo Garage Gear I bought a HRX yesterday & did the whole bottle pour in thing & when I checked the oil level after it was above the mushroom top thing on the dipstick I don’t see any writing that says full on it am I supposed to get it in between the lil xs at the bottom? Been a pain trying to slowly pump out a lil at a time.
