Welcome! These clips are from a large video collection that is now being converted from VHS/Beta to digital many from the 70's, 80's and 90's. If I know the original air date/year I will post it.
There is some viewing quality loss from the original video source due to the age of the tapes, but the performances are preserved and still a joy to view. I'm finding many lost performances from vintage R&B, Soul, Pop, Broadway, Cabaret and other performances. This channel will be the Ed Sullivan channel for the digital generation, something for everyone to enjoy. Many of the performances will be seen for the first time since they were originally televised. I will be adding many musical performances from a variety of sources that I hope you will enjoy. Please hit the like button.

the "beautiful ballet in the middle" killed it for me. The video started off with an interesting angular way the director positioned and shot it, and then cuts to a stage with professional ballet dancers. I would have like to see the lovely couple dance while the band played, almost like Gene Kelly and Cyd Charise in the movie Brigadoon.

This is from Richard & Karen's appearance on a 1972 television program called The Special London Bridge Special, which starred Tom Jones. Indeed, that is Tom in the background, along with actress Jennifer O'Neill, while Karen & Richard are performing. The special was commemorating the completion of the installation of the original London Bridge in Lake Havasu, Arizona. The bridge was purchased from the City of London, transported in pieces by boat, then by land, to its new home in Lake Havasu, where the special was filmed.

So beautifully composed and performed. Karen's melodically haunting voice goes to my heart and touches it softly, but also very deeply.

I think what they had in mind was an Agnes DeMille style dream sequence, but it felt so disconnected from the beginning and ending that it fell flat.

such a pretty video, but beauty for beauty's sake does not make for an interesting or dynamic video. Karen's face and voice are so expressive the could have easily made the video about her being in love and discovering the joy and beauty of the landscape as she sings and falls deeper in love. As it is it looks like a bunch of chess pieces that was filmed as opposed to performers doing what they do best perform.
