It is! Removing the ball head from the tripod will expose a 3/8-16th screw. The GH2N can mount directly to this screw.

We don't recommend letting the tripod get very wet. If it does get wet, it's recommended to wipe down and clean the legs thoroughly before closing up. If the issue persists, we have great customer service for tripod parts and repairs, check it out at benrousa.com/service-repair/

You're right, not a totally new idea. However, the FS30 ballhead is about a third of the price of the novoflex mini magicball. While it holds a little less weight, we think the price makes it a great option for traveling with a modest kit! Not to mention the FS30 comes with an arca plate and clamp system so it's faster to switch cameras and it has top panning right below the plate.

@@BenroUSA I would just like to know some more official information. Last year I saw the Theta and Theta Max for preorder on some shop sites but I have not seen any marketing material from Benro recently so I don’t know what the project status is beyond what little is shared on the KickStarter campaign page. With all the production delays Benro is no longer first to market with an auto levelling tripod and many backers have lost confidence in the product, and even in the company. I think that Benro needs to seriously address this. Not yet seeing any new marketing material from Benro for Theta and Tetha Max makes me wonder what time scale might be for introduction to the general market. In my opinion, Benro needs to address this publicly and not one on one with individual customers like me.

Is there anything else you'd like us to cover about our tripods that we haven't? For this ballhead specifically, we find the size and simplicity are really great for travel because there's not much to think about and it's simple to use. For the size (and the price), the inverted ballhead can hold quite a bit of weight. It's a great deal for traveling with an on the go camera kit like the Fuji mirrorless cameras, even something like a Canon R5 or Sony A7 with a prime lens would be right at home on it.

Agreed. The video does nothing to explain why this is better than any other ballhead. Another fail of Benro marketing.

I use a "FOTGA 76 mm Diameter Add-On Offset Bubble Spirit Level Plate for DSLR Tripod Ball Head" which helps with my gimbal head that doesn't have a bubble level.

We would recommend a Rhino III series would fit the geared head very well. For fluid heads you can use the S4 Pro - its a good start depending on how much your rig weighs. And the GH2N is a good lightweight option for a gimbal head that would fit on the same tripod. Hope this helps!
