Seems to me that you are always focused on trying to find the patterns/patches and calculating if somone has been there. If there is a trend. Find one piece and it must be a patch, dont find some for a while it's all dried up. All this keeps you either in the past or the future, hardly ever in the now moment. The time when all things happen. .NOW.

It is amazing you have found area's with no rubbish in them, I thought the whole of Australia had a layer of shotgun pellets and shells plus the other stuff that goes with the old timers that made a mess of the bush. Good to see you are still getting a bit of gold and there is a new patch just around the next hill or over the horizon. I am about to start packing up for this years travels, I might finally fit out my travel van with solar and see how that goes, we shall see. Have a good week, Leon

What is the chain for?

The chain is used to drag a mark in the ground and show where you have been. You can step across a yard or so and go back parallel with the first track. Called chaining an area so you don’t miss a spot.
