What a great success we had this trip: a great gold result, good memories and a refreshing swim at Hamersley Gorge in Karijini National Park. Because the trip was cut a little short we are looking forward to repeating this trip soon.

The beautiful peaceful outback. No urban idiots with leafblowers and never ending mowers. Love the vast open space and gravelly landscape.

“Although we weren’t able to explore other areas of the park” Why? Were you prevented from going into those areas? Layla fought a bungar? What’s a bungar? Also, your comment about not taking the gas generator because you relied on the solar ones, and then had trouble afterwards … it exemplifies how we as a species can’t continue to put all our eggs on a single basket. Diversification is a must.

Keep up the great progress finding where some good spots are. Takes a lot of perseverance on both of you to locate those patches! But once you GPS them you you know where they are. Have a great holiday together guys.

You had fun. Found gold. Nearly deafened by thunder, squashed by your tent. Forgot things. Went to Hamersley Gorge for a swim. You made some great memories and became closer. When there are several lightning strikes in same area that means the ground is more conductive and gold is a very good conductor.
