Sounds like you need a commercial mower. 359 hours of mowing in 3 years is way too much for a residential mower unless you want to buy a new mower every 3-4 years. Stop mowing 3 ft tall grass with it. Remember, right tool for the right job.

This is probably a very stupid question, but can you use a hover board charger for these? I found one of these selling for very cheap & i wanna buy it to take it as a small project. I have a hoverboard charger that used to be the one my brother would use to charge his hoverboard. The charger looks exactly like the one these use but i wanna be sure. I wanna know if it will work on these even if it charges the pocket bike slow or if i would need to buy a new one for it to be able to be charged
@investinurself3445Ай бұрын
I know they look the same but not sure it they would work. I would say see what the charging voltage info is on the hoverboard and then see online what it is for the bike. I've never tried but worse case you can get chargers for cheap (like $15). Sorry I don't have a definite answer for you, but just doing a fast search and it looks like the pocket bike is a 24v and the hoverboard is a 42v so will it work? not sure.

Other than that I don't know, beside I know the 2006 was a little different.

I own the exact same model. Hint: if you turn the blades off you can get off the mower and the engine will stay running. I've had mine for 3 yrs. Still starts up quick. Never had a minutes trouble out of it. And that lever you said that makes ot go faster, it does raise the rpms on the engine.
@investinurself3445Ай бұрын
I've had mine for 4.5 years now and I just took care of a lot of parts to make it look good again. I am still happy with the purchase of it, I think it's well over 500 hours now. I know it will stay running if blades are off, my issue is it doesn't run long, basically bc my steering arms are still tight so after 10 seconds the arms pull back in enough to turn it off. It's more of me needing to loosen a spring I think. Maybe one day. Thanks for the feed back and comment, I'm glad you're enjoying yours as well.

@ProteusOmnipotens-ov8ooАй бұрын
@investinurself3445 that's heavy right on man. I picked up a 46" it's got the Briggs/husky engine which is OK. Would have preferred a kawi or even Kohler. The reason I was trolling ye is because I'm experiencing some issues with the steering arms- right one is finicky and doesn't seem to have the radius or smooth movements that the left one does. Also the throttle after running it for a while if you try to throttle down before shutting it off it doesn't drop revs. Any advice? I'm going to go through what you're talking about in your video.
@investinurself3445Ай бұрын
@ProteusOmnipotens-ov8oo I'm not sure if it was new or used but I would assume used or it has some time ran, as for the throttle I would say that sounds like the carb needs cleaned or the wire that adjust the throttle needs adjusted. For the arm being kinda weird I couldn't really tell you. Could just need some lube on something or even the joint is bent to some degree, that would need some more looking into. Hopefully this helps to some degree and sorry I can't be more helpful but without it being in front of me it's hard to say.

@Nonplused2 ай бұрын
Husqvarna uses Turbo-Gear transmissions, which are on many mower brands, so you need to check which transmissions you have if you think that was the problem. Not very many manufacturers make their own engines or transmissions.
@ProteusOmnipotens-ov8ooАй бұрын
What brand did you go with instead? Piled up before 300hrs?? Hm Huskys aren't top of the line but I've never had a "lemon" problem with their machines
@investinurself3445Ай бұрын
Sorry you had that issue, hopefully it wasn't someone just trying to make money off of you. Like I said I thought it was the transmissions and turned out I just need more pressure on the tensioner pulley and all was good. But as above those transmissions are in quite a few zero turns like cub cadet and I bought my transmissions for $900 each and that was after I rebuilt them and thought I had messed them up. I didn't and I bought new transmissions for no reason which is why I did this video.

That was painful to hear. Sorry man. We have all pissed money away working on cars mowers excetra. Could you not had found a zero turn with a bad deck or motor. Most all of these type of mowers only use a couple different size drives. Most are all made by MTD. Not to rub it in but I bought this mower in a 2 blade 46 used that said needs belt and battery sold as is. it was at a local farm center. So I told him if I bought a battery and it starts and moves I will take it. I knew getting the deck going was going to be not near as expensive as a drive. It started right up and I look at the hour meter and it said 4.5 hours. Some dude bought it new and hit something it broke a spindle bent a blade and then it would never restart. It was new so he took it back and they sent it to a local repair shop to fix the motor. I guess the sudden dead stop sheard the key shaft on the flywheel and it was out of time. So the fix it but they kept it all winter before getting to it. They kept it outside. A new mower just left it in the rain and snow for about six months. The nex spring the dude was ready to get his mower back and when they pulled it around and it was weathered he said I am not taking that it was brand new. SO some how the gave him a new mower and this one was suppose to went back on warranty but never did. So 2 years later the farm center manager just wanted it gone and put it out front with a sign. $200 As is need blade belt and battery. So I grabbed it up lightning fast. I had to put a spindle on it and new blades but the belt was good but the tension spring was missing. So I got a almost new 2021 z246 for less than $350.

Is the transmission very slow or would you say pretty good in speed and power (i think it's zt 2200 right)?
@investinurself34455 ай бұрын
It's an ezt 2200 I'm pretty sure and as for the transmissions, they are ok. With me loving to race cars it's not fast for me but for a mower it's not bad. The speed keeps up with the cutting blades so im good with it. Now if you are asking does it have the speed of the $10+ commercial mowers, the answer is no but does okay. Hope this helps and thanks for the comment.

Thanks for the info, I'll have to look into that. They have a water hookup to clean it so that's a little new for me. I suggest anyone who lives on any kind of incline and has this mower to invest in studded tractor or off-road ATV style tires. "Turf saver" tires are already prone to slipping and the hydros on this particular mower are not very good at easing on the power. These 2 things combined with any type of incline and you will do far more damage to your lawn from constant slipping with turf savers than you ever will running tires with an aggressive tread. Keep in mind though that there is very little clearance between the body and the stock tire so if you want to go any wider you'll need some kind of spacer.
