What would you recommend the parts vs the boards be made out of? Petg, orrrrr??? Does the board need more flex and give or does it sag out when loaded so use something more rigid but still avoid cracking… Let me know these things right away please in the videos

@Keep-Making Can you show in a video, or better add pictures on the Thangs Multigrid Bins objects, that show how the bins fit onto the tiles/boards _without_ adding a grid or baseplate? You say it can work, but I can't find a _picture_ of it anywhere.

I just discovered that instead of moving the mesh a distance and then moving it the opposite of that distance (e.g. for Split Edges & Faces to take effect), I can just rotate the mesh 360 degrees to get the same outcome. And, moving the mesh a distance of 0 also works!

When I add another cube with the size of 2m by 2m it has some shading and render issues in the viewport. When working with the mm scale is it now impossible to work with objects that are multiple meters big?

We have used Freecad in a professional environment for years, and TNP is not a huge issue if the model is precisely designed. The program always does what it should do, it is human mindset what "means" something different. If you just cast operator over operator, any feature based cad model will collapse eventally when modifying an early feature - simply because your intention with a feature, cannot always be guessed by the program. Do you want to keep the hole on the round face, or the top face? Or the yellow one? The only question is: how far the program can take you before it happens. Without algorithmic thinking, one better use some sculpting program anyway - the excellent Blender for one. On the one hand I am looking forward to having TNP managed, on the other hand - with all due respect - "intuitive" programs make lazy people even more lazy.

Oh thank you, I never would have realized the bed would togggle temperatures from this. Maybe make a custom 'petg-interface' filament profile just for this! Also the extrusion multiplier info is the cherry on top, I've been wanting to do something like this with my AMS but just got it, and wanted to be cautious.

I agree that dish soap cleans very well, but that takes way more time than cleaning with IPA. My way is after each print, clean it with IPA and once every 1 or 2 months (sometimes even 3) I'll clean them with warm water and dish soap. No issues here with adhesion and my printers are printing every day 🙂

There's something I don't get... you say "Multiboard: Free 3D Printed Fusion Of Everything!" and I see "free" everywhere, but when I try to download anything, from the Blender generators, to the pre-created STL, I have to be "a paid subscriber"... What is free then if I have to pay to get access to it ? Maybe there is another way to get access to it that I'm missing ?

Without native import/export .STEP support in Blender, isn't all of this custom UI work in vain? Or can we export solid body parametric files once we're done? Things like CNC machines rely on curves rather than subdivided faces for their paths :/

A lot of good stuff here, thanks! But I ran into an issue right away - solidifying one of these add-on bolts results in overlapping inside-out faces at the edge of the thread, even with my 0.1 thickness. Might not have been an issue in the older version of blender, since you don't seem to have Self-Intersection in the bool options, but that's what I had to enable to fix it.

I went through your entire series when I started 3D printing a year and a half ago. It was extremely helpful in getting started. I am now working on more precise parts and am finding an issue that I can't seem to remedy myself. To explain the issue in terms of a simple part, I have sketched a cylinder in Blender. Exterior (X/Y) diameter of 20mm. Interior (X/Y Boolean) diameter of 8mm. Length (Z) dimension of 20mm. I exported this as an .STL. Opened in Cura without scaling and sliced. This is moved to my CR-10S Pro and printed in PETG, which housed in a filament dryer. The final print measures true for Z but the Exterior diameter is 19.74mm and Interior diameter is 7.4mm. Setup: Blender 3.4.1 Ultimaker Cura 5.2.1 Creality CR-10S Pro Any help would be greatly appreciate and thanks again for the assistance in my early stages!
