Bummer we never got a continuation of this series. The team building guide would have been awesome, and characters guides even moreso. Probably one of the best fgc guide formats I've seen and it got cut short 😭

For anyone confused about the stick nomenclature for this game, it's not the traditional SF sayings you may be used to. Numeric is like this: 789 456 123 So, instead of QCF, you would say "236" And instead of DP, it's "623"

Dude, X Factor DOES NOT WORK. I would love to know how YOU are pulling it off, but i press all four buttons at the same time and it registers as a special. I have only gotten it to work once. You can't make that shit perfect without smacking it as someone who has tiny fingers. Also, had 0 luck with the level 3 super as it always, ALWAYS registers as a level one super (for the characters i play anyway.) It is just not reliable. I dont know how pros do this because i cant get it to work...like ever...

I apologize. I figured out that you can only use X factor once per match and the red X is suppose to be the indicator of that...oops. I know you probably explained it in your video, but this is a lot of information to learn. I just kept thinking I'm doing something wrong and the game doesn't go out of it's way to teach you the mechanics as a newby. So I have to rely on KZfaq to figure out how to play the game effectively.

I'm trying to learn how to properly play the game and I never fully understood flight. Your sections on Flight Mode, Tri-Jumping, Airdash Chaining and Air Plink Dashing explained a lot to me from what I've always saw in tournament matches videos. I'm going to start practicing tri-jump and airdash chaining together with wavedashing. Thanks a lot for the guide videos!

All I needed to have fun back in 2011 was the ABCS magic series. This game taught me about special motions and notation and all sorts. In old fighting games like mvc and mvc2, I thought special moves came out randomly when you spun the stick around and hit a button. Turns out, it's more nuanced than that. This was a lot of fun. Thanks for the guide.

I got done dirty by my roommate after we both started to watch RussianBadger and Lythero play UMvC3, I knew some stuff solely from watching, but this game is definitely harder than it looks, so these guides are really useful, we're both absolute trash at the game, he's just innately good at picking up games and doing crazy stuff right out the gate, I on the other hand need stuff like guides and such, hard to call yourself a rival when all you do is get bodied and win once every like 10 matches. Awesome work, gonna be using these guides to finally even the playing field with my roommate >:3

Thank ya, at first I really have though this game was overly complex and punishing with it's broken AI and weird mechanics. Now I'm sure of it, yep, no Steam refund cancelling for me 🤣 But good video anyway, Capcom should learn a lesson or two with NetherRealm Games :/

🔥🔥🔥👍Awesome vid! It’s a little intimidating trying to learn the mechanics in this game, especially after seeing how dominant players can be with juggling and infinite combos. But it’s just such a beautiful and exciting game , I always would play it in arcades and had a vague idea of what was happening but as it turned out I had very little knowledge. This is such a helpful video, definitely gonna watch the full series/ all you have done on this subject/ game., And you def got a new sub from it! Keep up the awesome vids, enthusiasm and coherent sharing of this knowledge. Can’t wait until I can really do what I want to in this game and excited for the growth and journey! this guide was really helpfull and i understand the game a lot better now just wish you didnt use numpad terminology and just said the direction, it adds a lot of unnecessary complexity especially for new players and it doesnt really have any advantage over saying the raw imputs

Honestly i thought id be horrendous at this game but in the practice mode without any knowledge i already was doing 8 hit combos into switches... all i can say is IM FEELING MOTAVAITED
