I figured out carrying something in my hands and doing a task works wonders. (Non-Breakable Plate/Glass, Trash, etc) without the walker.

I was diagnosed 14 months ago. Thank you for sharing. I will definitely try to do the dog thing in the morning as I do have a lot of paralysis seizures.

What you need is at hand. Those virtual reality goggles will help you disassociate. Retrain your brain. Acupuncture with those in the Chinese medicine tradition. You are remembering the last time you remembered. The event is over. You are remembering The Remember. Aromatherapy. Spray lavender on a neck towel, make a ritual of wearing your neck roll. Native American music relieves stress for me. I need to get a blood pressure machine…I know there is a blood pressure drop immediate to hearing it. With the internet, the world is your oyster. Find the music, astral sounds, white noise. With your other vid…you were walking down a hallway. Pirouette. Pretend you and dance partner are dressed to the nines, powdered wigs. Half dance with your hands held to form an arch. Step back, join up. What color is your dress? Lymph cleansing, deep massage, foot soaks, compression leggings. Have a waking dream. It’s the same process as nighttime …just be awake to set up the dream. Ask….where is this disturbance. There’s a knot. Take me there.

How do you bring yourself out of it, what do you think about, what helped you get your mind in that state?...I've been trying to take my mind off of it for years but I have never been able to walk normal like you.

How did you learn these techniques? What is the therapy, modality, specialty that I should find? Thank you for your help.

Hi, I also suffer from FND and have not found anything else besides your video that discussed FND and sleep paralysis. For me sleep paralysis has been a feature that I have found very common in my life even Pre-FND. I wondered if the two was contacted as sometimes when attempting to fall asleep I can have many episodes one after another. I find it really strange there’s no research around this topic nor mother FND patients reporting this as a symptom. Can I just as if you have had many episodes with FND and prior to FND. Thank you for your video it was much appreciated and will use your technique in the future. Many thanks xx

Sounds like me, with spasticity instead of weakness. I have good and bad days and moments.

I love watching your videos! I have FND as well and have been trying to observe others’ symptoms and strategies to prevent them. You are very successful with your strategies. I have subscribed to your channel. Could you view mine at Mimi with FND as well and subscribe? We need to promote awareness and provide more resources that are easily accessible t for others with this disorder.

I hope I can get rid of mine. Life could be worse, but I’ve had FND daily for just over 2 years. Former traumatic brain injury tho as well

This is amazing! My daughter was just diagnosed yesterday! We literally were just released from the hospital yesterday. I have been googling like crazy! I found your video. And we set a mirror in front of my 17 year old daughter this evening. She stood twice!!!! We took the mirror away, she can’t do it now. But this was so much hope! And so amazing! How long did it take you with the mirror?

It worked quickly for me, but I still use it often when symptoms arise. It helps my brain and body reconnect. Best of luck to your daughter!

Alexis Dumais I haven’t had problems walking for years, but I wouldn’t say I’m 100% recovered. This blog post explains how I feel about my recovery. fndrecovery.com/2019/09/18/what-recovery-means-to-me/

FND Recovery Oh okay! i just checked, that’s really interesting. I just been diagnosed with it, is it possible to overcome our symptoms completely? Mine are mild. I have hands tremors and stiffness and a mild stiffness in the left leg.

Alexis Dumais You have an excellent chance for a full recovery since your symptoms are mild and haven’t been there long. Good luck!

FND Recovery nice! that’s so encouraging! i tried my best to succeed! Do u know what are the best treatments in general for people with FND?
@fndrecovery
@fndrecovery 4 жыл бұрын
Alexis Dumais, my understanding is that a team of professionals to address different symptoms (physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychotherapy) usually is most helpful.
