Very nice car! I just bought a 2005 Honda CR-V EX with the elusive 5 speed manual transmission. 200k one owner. Super clean, no accidents, and best of all no rust. I love it!

Hey man, I love your content. Is there anyway I can get in contact with you so that I can send you a couple pictures of the Mercedes I would like to restore for you to let me know if it is worth restoring? For a little bit of context, this Mercedes w140 s500 is my late grandfather’s most prized possession. After he passed, my father took the car and didn’t treat it very well. The car runs but the whole car vibrates. The more I push on the gas the more it vibrates. I’m 16 and I’d like to restore it. If you are interested in helping please give me a way to contact you. Thank you in advance!

Hercules make solid tools The only one I've been disappointed with was the multi-tool it just seemed underpowered and it would cut out a lot and I recently got some bower tools today that I'm looking forward to trying when I get home and I didn't want to buy into a new tool line and have to get another battery and charger but Hercules doesn't make a nailer or a inflator deflator for your car so I'm probably going to use Bauer stuff as my car mechanic equipment and keep it in my vehicle

You are waay to generous in your scoring of the Pittsburgh vaccum pump. I've just returned the one I bought and got the mityvac (which I have used before and was trying to save myself money instead of just getting it from the beginning). The Pittsburgh vaccum pump is garbage.

Bolt, lock washer , washer... then through the hole. The lock washer grabs on the head of the bolt and washer to "lock it". Bumper mod looks great, did you or the PO shave the rear also? How they shaved the holes will be fine until there is an impact or if the holes are visible through the paint. Im shaving the rear bumper on my 86 951, using short strand fiberglass filler and smoothing out with reg body filler.. one of my bumper shocks is seized also, prob gonna saw off the back of the shock and tack weld the sliding portion where i want it. Wont be as light as the custom ones you bought, but will be free. Great job!!

Thanks for heads up on washers. Also yes PO did shave the rear as well. I’m going to re do the holes same way as you. I always use the fiberglass strand body filler and than smooth filler over. Works amazing.

My mirror started smoking after pressing the powered steering wheel adjustment down while the car was off tonight. It was quite odd. First my fuse blew while using seat controls, then I changed the fuse and adjusted the steering wheel resulting in smoke from the passenger side mirror. I'll try to fix the wiring in the mirror to see if it's really what's causing the issue. Haven't dealt with such issues before but I'm thinking it could also be a relay malfunctioning or something

@@petescarport that's so fascinating. The forums seem to be sure that it can't be done :D asking because I've got a rebuilt 1275 head lying around and the 1098 engine in the car... Now I'm curious

@@fantscher I couldn’t tell you how many people contacted me on social media and my videos telling me that I would smash the valves at start up and so many other things. I trusted my neighbor who’s been a mechanic for 50 years and he told me everybody is going to tell you what you can’t do until you show him it can be done. He said all we had to do was check clearance and if it had an issue, we could create clearance and we had no issues so move forward. I’ve gotta be honest it’s been a while since I did it and it was the first real engine rebuild I’ve ever done so I would have to go back to the videos to really see everything and understand how everything worked

When those cars first came out I saw one at an Airport and the price tag was 20K back in 1986 and people were just looking at it saying it was a dream car. That was the price for the car professionally built. They didn't sell so they started selling them for enthusiasts to build as a kit with cheaper parts in vinyl and the original was all genuine leather. The kit cars were built with engines that later would not run and give people problems and they were not taken care of but they are beautiful cars considering that the original is over 5 million dollars.

Up until 2005 they also built one on the F250 chassis. If you are looking to buy new used, look for a 2011 Why? No recalls. Mine is a 2002 and have kinda converted it to a camping rig. Rear seats come out easily, (I might be willing to sell them.) I have a car fridge and a microwave. Havent decided about the microwave. Have a 2000kw inverter that I made a place for under the central console one thing I don't like is there no way to open the back from inside; good and bad, If you are camping in it ya gotta get in and out the passenger doors. But if you are hauling little ones, that is another subject.. I take mine off road and no problem.

I just bought an Eddie Bauer Ford expedition and it will tell you on that little display board on the top of the truck. How many miles you have left to empty it will tell you if you’re going north south east or west and tell you the degrees outside.

So I did t mess up on the fitting where the 3” hose went. I wouldn’t have even payed attention to its proper loc until it was too late. Sorry you had a bad experience with yours. Any way thanks for the video 🙄

Nice!! Upon verifying compatibility, I ordered the exact “part for part” set you have for my 2005 6.0L F250. Been lazy and had it in “N.O.S.” Mint-condition and getting truck detailed rn so later at home, my buddies and I have that perfect, clean slate to add other mods and the interior trim(s).
