That is one awesome fire pit you constructed. Like all your projects it is over the top. Much jealousy burns within me for that skill set you have.

I just rehabilitated my pulk from 1970. I bought a new canvas. Ready made set from Segebaden. I also bought a sentral slide of brass. In the model Erik is making, there is no centrlal piece. Tonight I saw a person in Norway, selling the pulk for 300 Nkr or above. From the pictures - New canvas, I adviced them to up the price to 10 000 Nkr

I have an elm tree 4 ft across. The only way i can turn into 3 inch slab is by doing this. That looked a lot wasier than i think mine will be.

Erik, I never knew about the pulk until you made this video, what a cool and useful item I am very impressed!!!! But when I seen Barr inline and barking to be harnessed up I lost it🤣but Barr does just as good as any sled dog!! You will never leave Barr behind when there are fun times to be had!! This video made my day!!❤️

You jumped from the complete trunk to wedges already inserted. I wanted to know how you actually START splitting it
@GrowFiend7 ай бұрын
He kind of did. That string line he uses marks a straight line where he wants to split, then uses the axe and a hammer to start the crack for the wedges

Just found your channel this evening and have watched a few episodes. Your outdoor raised fire pit is quite interesting. Do you have any plans to make another and using a barrel as arch to make an outdoor oven. Quite an interesting undertaking. Your hound pup has beautiful, urban camouflage coat. A beautiful animal. Wishing you and your family a blessed week filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings. Peace brother

Great Job! Next week I will return to the north with some Ladies Skiing in the fjell with Pukkas and tents. as a former ong live serving mountain soldier I love to stay outside there and to listen to the sound of my skies and the pulka behind me.Great Inspieration for working with wood in a traditional way...I love to do so since boyhood and my first walking days in Shwedisch-lappland in the early 80ies. Thanks for keeping this wonderfull tradition alive!
