Emily MARRY ME!? I’m sure my wife wouldn’t mind 😏 😂 But seriously, you got me shook! 🤦🏻♂️ Hey listen, you can do rhythms as you hoped it did. Apparently you can even do drum fills. Ck out “RECORD RHYTHMS to Your TRACKS” by Ross Gallagher Music. I literally just got this beauty yesterday for Father’s Day, man I’m I lost 😢 I’m gonna have to catch all your tutorials to see if I can actually learn this voodoo box. 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 It seems so complicated and overwhelming to me. Hopefully it doesn’t take me so long to master it. I mean, this could be a game changer!!! 🖤🙃🖤

You should mention the ShowBox costs about $800. That's a very steep price for one speaker and some so-so effects. Mackie makes good gear, but this is pretty costly for a lot of solo musicians.
@EmilyMcVicker19 сағат бұрын
I do mention the price. You think that’s a lot? It’s all relative I suppose. If you already have a mixer and a speaker that you like working with and sounds good, you probably don’t need a speaker like this. But if you perform solo all the time, and need something portable that can do it all, it’s actually a steal when you consider That it’s a mixer, an interface, and a recording device. I personally found it to be quite unique that the mixer pops off and mounts on the stand like that. It’s my favorite thing for the style of gigs that I do. It also depends on how often you play out and use it. Thanks for sharing your opinion!

Friggin fantastic, appreciate the fast build, that is not easy to do (esp. on the fly) 👏 Subbed. Have you ever used the Boomerang Looper? It's the only one I've ever used, and I've gotten mixed advice as far as whether to stick with it or try more modern loopers for better input/output routing, recording etc. Was curious if you ever tried it, and if you did how it compares to the more current loopers. I love the serial mode on the Boomerang, it's the main reason I've been reluctant to move on
@EmilyMcVicker3 сағат бұрын
You’re so kind! Actually no. I jumped right into the boss rc300 when I started because it seemed so cohesive. And it was such a good friend to me, I upgraded when the 600 came out. I know boomerang is classic! If it’s still working for you that’s awesome. Your performance is still the most important thing. The most tempting thing about a newer looper is the sound quality. And making the call is such a personal thing! What kinda of shows do you do? Solo acoustic stuff like me?

Do you have a vid of what you recorded/performed related to this video? I'm trying to figure out the best ways to get harmonies into my loops and the on-board harmonizer isn't cutting it, so I was thinking I might just pre-record harmonies and save them.
@EmilyMcVicker5 күн бұрын
You could do that. I don’t use the digital harmonizes either - they are never good. I am comfortable recording them live, but if you pre-record them, that would definitely also work 👍

A.I .music can do a lot of things and it's changing the music industry, but it can never replace you! Your talent, your heart and your spirit. Also there is beauty in not having everything 100% perfect, whether, it's in tempo, melody or harmony. It's what makes it human, emotional and moving. If anything AI will just give us a greater appreciation for musicians like you who perform live. Keep doing what you do! Love it!❤

Im pretty new to singing live. I sang in a choir forever and I sang bass, so i wasnt used to solo singing. I use a Shure SMB7 for like all my music and I run that through a BOSS VE-500 and so far, I haven't had too much problem. I tried using a Condenser mic and it was so sensitive that you could hear my stomach growl. So, I have a deep 2nd bass voice, and I need a mic that has a low register but the same crisp quality of a Shure SMB7. If you have a suggestion. Thanks much.
@EmilyMcVicker3 сағат бұрын
Great question! Picking a microphone is a very personal choice. Hard to know a one size fits all, even for a specific voice type. If you’re able to, I would go to a music store and test out a couple and see what makes you feel the best. Some of my favorites that I see people using our this Telefunken M 80, Sennheiser series, sure makes a variety of quality mics with different attributes, and the other popular one that I just discovered is the SEV7. Go try them out on your voice and see what makes you feel the most confident!
@formattmusic13597 күн бұрын
Well that was badass, unfortunately I don't have the perfect pitch, like you do to harmonize your own voice. I use a harmonizer pedal, but that was cool. I use a BOSS RC-500 for my loops. What about you?
