Here in Africa dress is for our climate,safety and work...such as farming and in the fields. Of cause there are Afrcans that believer skirts only but thats from missionary trachings as if cause triblal woman whore skits and no tops. Not all but alot. If you look at the silhouette of the man in pants vs the woman in a skirt on public restroom signs around the globe you realize this is the universal symbol of male and female. Women didn't wear pants in America until the last 1960's after the rise of the Marxist revolution which also tried to normalize homosexuality. The Communists knew the America could be destroyed from within if the family and basic gender roles were undermined. They were successful and now have taken over the Federal Government and Satan couldn't be more pleased. For the women here who are for wearing pants, my question to you is: Would you be open to wearing “baggy” pants? I think today’s tight butt huggers for women tempt and cause many many men to stumble, whether the gal wearing the pants are aware or not. Women’s parts that are most physically attractive to the man are: thighs/hips, buttocks and breasts. And I think most women know this even young girls. Women are way more United than men are -thus they communicate like wildfire all that empowers them and they take advantage of it. Sadly, many of today’s women dress immodestly in church services and it causes others to sinfully stumble. You might argue otherwise, but the reality is is that WE LIVE IN A PORNIFIED/SEXUALIZED CULTURE. You might want to revisit your conversion if you’ve not felt the Holy Spirit stir within whenever sin is committed. God gave us all of the free will to choose if we want to follow His Commandments. As a christian man, I notice and feel that there is almost no help from christian women in building our morals through the way they dress. It seems to be against us in this matter. If the eyes of the beholder are drawn to parts of your body and not to your face, when he speaks to you, then it means that you are indecently dressed. You need to correct yourself. But if the eyes of the beholder rest lightly on your face as he speaks to you, and he does not have to struggle to calm his gaze, then you can have peace that you have done all your duty, in regard to fashion. You will have peace, and we will be blessed to be able to admire you without being tempted. From Adam to the present day, sensuality and indecency in women's fashion has been and is the strongest temptation for men, and this is the temptation by which Satan has achieved the greatest victories over God's people. I like this. I actually would say I have an even stricter, more "old-fashioned" standard than you (my own sister called me a prude, and my standard is even stricter now than it was then). My sleeves are down to my elbows at minimum and I never show any bare leg in public. But this method is very simple and quick, which is good, especially for those just learning how to dress modestly, who are trying to figure out what can stay in their wardrobe. This is probably at its most useful when in the changing room at the clothing store! I also love your principle for choosing to dress modestly. This is the principle that should motivate everything we do: glorifying GOD! :) I would like to add a few thoughts, particularly for the viewers. 1. According to the Bible, we are not to place stones in front of our brethren to cause them to stumble (i.e. to sin). Rather than saying "I won't worry about dressing modestly because I know at least some men will lust no matter what", what we need to do is avoid dressing in a way that we know WILL cause men to lust after us. This is simple, isn't it? It shows true love and respect for our brothers in CHRIST. I don't mean that we must dress in a burka because any body part can trigger lust, but rather to cover that which we KNOW will cause men in general to lust after us (not some rare few that just happen to have a weird fetish for bare feet or something). 2. Believe it or not, real men want women who cover themselves. I don't mean dressing in a burka, but they don't want women who show off what they've got for every man passing by to see. There are things about a woman's body that should be saved for her husband's eyes only. In fact, this would cover most of her body. I talked about this with my dad. He is a fairly worldly man, yet what attracted him to my mother at the start was the fact that she covered herself, rather than flaunting everything she had. He was attracted to her, not in a lustful way, but rather he felt respect for her. This was also a major factor for my husband when we first met. 3. Don't think this doesn't apply to you, too, men! There are parts of your body that should only be for your wife's eyes, too. Likewise, women are perfectly capable of lusting after a muscular man going around with no shirt. In some ways, women are just as bad as men, in fact. So you need to show consideration and respect for women by covering up. In fact, it is more important for men to dress modestly, because GOD made them the head of women (this is biblical, not some antiquated feature of another culture). This means that it is in the nature of women to follow the lead of men. They tend to try to take over only if they see the men doing a lousy job. So, be the leaders and dress as modestly as you want the women to dress. Okay, those are my two (three?) cents. Blessings!

I'm a 14 year old boy, and when i see women dressing immodest it creeps me out! You have to look at it like this women, would you like it if your 14 year old daughter has to walk around men with a tight outline of their crotch the same way women walk around with a tight outline of their butt and THEIR crotch?
