I'm a 74 year old Scotsman and I thought I'd seen it all, but Taylor Swift came on the scene and just like most of the World I was completely blown away, and no wonder, this young lady has it all, she is the real deal, and I have fallen in love with her, she is truly amazing. 🏴🙏💜💜💜💜

I agree it's a strong, joyful and unanticipated rendition. It's clear -- even more so from their studio-live video also on YT -- that they love this song, and get particular joy from playing the Stop Making Sense version. I get no sense that Paramore think they can improve upon it. But I also hope Lynn Mabry, Ednah Holt, and/or Alex Weir -- all still living, I'm pretty sure -- get a chance to see/hear Paramore's rendition. Those "guest" performers recall how their own excitement grew as they together brought the concert/movie project to fruition. They will also remember carrying that spirit onstage and belting it out to the rest of us. Paramore sound like they've taken it up in the spirit that was intended.

We were VIP standing so she was verrrry close! Tbf for the UK it was pretty decent - we were night 2, while we waited for Paramore it was bright sun and 18 degrees. It just started drizzling around 9.30, right when My Tears Ricochet started which was really fitting! She declared it a rain show but a romantic light rain. 😂

I think a different crowd would've continued the "ooh"s so when she lost her breath it would've been like the crowd picked it up. Every crowd is so different in how they interact with the acoustic set.

@markperez4980 don't know what that means. Yeah, the LA crowd was totes disappointing. But several US crowds were really in tune with the music and picking up the backups and stuff.

It sounds crazy to say but I’d never describe myself as a Swiftie, just someone who enjoys her music. I think I’m a convert after this though, it was amazing. She has a talent for connecting with everyone, even in a 60,000 crowd. I did tear up a little through this song, as you come to the realisation it was really a once in a lifetime affair. I felt really overwhelmed that I’d had such a great view and a lovely time. Everyone around was really nice and it made it such a good vibe!

They were great! I saw them again in Berlin last week and Fall Out Boy did a few different songs which was really nice - I got to see So Much (For) Stardust and with the piano it was so good.

Ironically, Julian was fuming about someone in the audience. It turned out to be the worst case scenario playing in his head because he found out after that it was the venue photographer and apologised for letting himself down. Poor guy.

Should be pretty similar then! I'll say this though, the walkway is kinda pointless, they only did one song up there and Charlie stayed on the main stage the whole time apart from that 😂

First and foremost thanks so much for posting this. Although as a 50+ male I wasnt the most likely demographic, this was a fantastic gig with this a stand out track. A very talented group of musicians who work so well together, the result being great music. I'll certainly catch them again next time round.

I really enjoyed it. I also dragged my boyfriend along, who hadn't heard any of their music before and he had a great time. I thought Cristal was an impressive performer. I'd definitely see them again - if you liked them I'd recommend Muna and Girli, I have vids from their gigs. I'm a massive Muna fan and that's how I first came across both The Aces and Girli, on the Spotify radio from their tracks. Thanks for commenting. 😃
