@@Johnden yeah I don't really recommend going to nether without enchanted armors it's too risky specially in hardcore but in survival go do it if you want, but I recommend go in nether with atleast full set of diamond armor with basic enchantment so prevent dying easily it can't affect your speed run just spend 5-10days in mining and for sure you can get enough diamond to full set

Brutes don’t do as much damage on bedrock

@@Not_Zazoo not a big difference really. 19.5 dmg on Java and 15 on Bedrock. 2 hits with no armor for both versions on Hard difficulty.

No, it works only in java edition. The closest similar thing to bedrock edition is hay bale clutching. You basically fall a great height and place a hay bale below you. Turns out in bedrock hay bales reduce far more damage than in java. There are also other alternatives like slime blocks and such.

I started playing Minecraft again after a couple years and my hardcore world had a nether portal right inside a bridge bastion and had no idea about brutes or why they randomly aggroed against you and how they hit 2 hi this information is greatly appreciated

Once you have blaze rods, yes. This is more early game focused.

This method includes players who want to raid bastions as soon as possible, that's without visiting a nether fortress. Which means you have no invisibility potions. Of course it's easier with invis potions, elytra and totem of undying. But I wanted to exclude those items.
