This is the first video of yours that I've ever seen. I'm not sure why KZfaq hasn't recommended you to me before now, your videos are great!

I watched this because I don’t know what to do with the ridge on top of my van. You didn’t include anything. What’s the point of making a video if you leave out the crucial parts? You could’ve just made the video short by standing in front of the camera showing the skylight and say: “I just installed this” That would actually be more informative

I watched a different clip, she used mastic sealing strips to cover the gap. It was really informative. Now I have the courage to do it myself 😁🤗❤️ Thank for absolutely nothing.

It's pretty common to use a washer on the back of a rivnut if you are pulling them in plastics. :)

One thing you never said which I find so annoying...wait let me back up a sec. I may be ignorant but it's not obvious to me. With how much you talked, quite verbose actually, which isn't a bad thing necessarily. Buy you never said what these mallets are for and why you chose the size you did. I'd like to know.

Why not cut the holes after turning the blocks. After turning a simple v block fixed and centered on the drill table gives you every time a perfectly centered hole.

The “r” in rpm is already plural (revolutions), so it’s not “rpm’s”, its just “rpm”, just like your would say 60 mph and not 60 mph’s

Now that the LP5 is due out later today, do you think that the new machine will offer any significant advantages for you guys?
@MattEstlea214 күн бұрын
It would be a big step up from the LP4 if we were to get our hands on one. The LP4's metal engraving power was 2 watts whereas the LP5 is 10x that. The laser for cardboard and leathers, etc. has also been doubled in power up to 20 watts. For the metal side of things that's not only going to mean faster engraving, but deeper passes as well. Looks like they've gone for a more robust shielding system too which is a welcome improvement given how substantially the power is increasing. If we were deciding between the LP4 and LP5 right now we would spend the extra £700 on the LP5 as it would pay for itself in time saved within a few months.

It's one of those things that you either get because you're REALLY keen on the hobby or because you know there's a business purpose to it and you can earn the money back.

Very nice craftsmanship, but I have questions. A mallet in a local brick and mortar costs 5$ or less (the one that is to be used on a daily basis). I understand this here is a premium item in the video that is being made, but is the market really there for these? How many souvenir style mallets will you sell to justify the investment of time and money that you had to make ... And if i actually wanted an arty item, i would prefer an imperfect hand made one, with a slightly crooked handle, oddly shaped head, not a machined one. So I must admit I'm just confused. What is this for, aside from a great video.
@Fynnuekue16 күн бұрын
Since it´s mostly CNC and lacks the handcrafted charm i would buy the china knockoff if the price is not right. It´s a weird sell for sure and leaves me confused as well. As Merch to support him it might work good enough, but all these expenses for a mallet is kinda strange.

Haven't seen the price, but for production items and not hand made they shouldn't be real expensive. And yes hair ties are cheap and should be used.

I'm setting up a microworkshop and have a laser to set up, my biggest headache is finding a smoke extractor to use. The mischief you can get upto for presents when you have a laser...
@RobHarveyMusic15 күн бұрын
We found that the desktop extractor by LaserPecker was very good. We just overused it before changing the filter. They all seem very similar from the research we've done, but LaserPecker has a nice aesthetic to go alongside the power and portability.

It says you can decline them by clicking the icon in the bottom left, except there isn’t one 😂 Pretty sure it’s illegal to have no option to decline all in the EU and UK by way of GDPR rules. Doesn’t inspire confidence does it.
