What a fabulous interview. A friend told me today about "Looking for Mary" and mentioned Beverly's name, so while looking her up, I found this.As an ex-Catholic, I have been on the search for Mary for the last 4 years. Friends have been encouraging me to write my memoir, not about that but about the unique, painful, and often humorous journey I have had to take after ending my 25 year marriage. I had never heard Beverly before. I love her candor, her humor and her deep spiritual quest, and both of you illuminated the need to go deep. Thank you for this.

I really used to admire and respect Caroline Myss for decades but what she said on this podcast is colored by her political beliefs and absolutely reeks of elitism and destroys her credibility. I can see the remnant of her rage and it’s looking like she has not dealt with it. I would say bad form Carolyn, but I’ll just say good bye

I don't trust the term "negative narcissist" or the idea that a person lacking in confidence is a person who has rejected humility. I do understand what you mean, but I think your meaning could be expressed more effectively by affirming that humility INCLUDES confidence, or faith in/knowledge of your true worth. Once you have that, humility is the natural result, whether your defense is self-rejection or grandiosity.

That was a good talk. I laughed about the narcissists in drag. Humility and some lightness in our beingness. Sigh. It creates a spaciousness for the uncertainty.
