very beautiful. incredible exhaust sound how did you get it? What brand and model is it? thank you
@stevenwarner73485 ай бұрын
No no no no! You can' not just start the engine and show off all the mods. You can not do this. You must explain all the mods. What worked what didn't. What you really like (about the lights for instance). or Maybe compair the gauges from the stock to the one that you've got there. What is going on here? These things must be explained. If you speak Spanish that is all good. Whatever. This video is just wrong! As a 1995 owner with some thoughts about my own mods , how am I going to respond to this demo? No words? That feeling i get every day when I spend time with my bike. No No No No! Bad Bad Bad. This video needs a redo. Come on now. I know you can.

Far too noisy. And it’s idling way too fast. It’s only a 175 so I think keep it original as far as possible. The standard exhaust was still cool.

Totally different bikes. The last gen Nighthawks were good bikes with one hell of an engine. Always enjoyed riding mine, and it kept up with much more aggressive sport bikes.

Hi I just purchased one of these bikes and she idles similarly. Is this indeed the correct idle sound for this bike or is it lean?
@Irillus2 жыл бұрын
This bike is set up with a high idle for racing. It is a vintage Ossa race mechanics' bike. Should idle slightly lower, but they can be hard to keep running in rough conditions with a low idle speed.

Great work, I always wondered if the tank would bolt right up. Will the RC42 wheels and brakes bolt up? I'm interested because the have discs front and back.
@Irillus2 жыл бұрын
The RC42 tank bolts right up, but you need to trim about a 1/4" inch off the fronts of the side fairings to make them match correctly. Unfortunately as the RC42 has a disc in the rear and dual disc's up front. You would need the rear swingarm and front forks from the RC42 to do the wheel conversion.

Awesome mods You did to this Mark!!! I have an 01 CB750 Nighthawk in black,where I maintained the stock exhaust,but cerakoted the entire exhaust in black! Looks awesome. I also upgraded all turn-signal lights to LED's and the headlamp is also LED,and put on a Dark-shaded Mohawk windscreen and red aluminum levers and handgrips with a soft black rubber with red aluminum ends!!! Also stuck a Lithium battery on it to decrease the weight even more. Nice video Mark!!! :-)

Hey Mark, any idea what became of this bike? And are you the one I sold it to in Hot Springs, Arkansas?
@Irillus4 жыл бұрын
My friend Eason bought it several years ago (not sure from who) and I helped him do all the online sales. It was a great little ripper with the reverse GP gearing. We had a lot of fun on it. It sold really quickly on the first auction run to a collector. It was going to be displayed and ridden occasionally. Can't remember where he was located though. It's been so long ago.

Now time for an 836 kit, high compression, head work, and "1/4" or "1/2" race cams(old terminology). There's a nighthawk in my area for a good price. I want it. And now seeing yours, I want it even more and want to do about the same to my would-be one.

Did you have to reject the carbs after putting on the dual pea shooters? Could you of extended the exhaust past the rear suspension/left shock? Or was/is the not enough room? I think I’d like to do this option with mine but coming further out the back and then using the original muffler heat shield.
