I'm really struggling with figuring out how to do these projects. Are there any guides or more intro level projects you would recommend?

Hey GPS! Great Video! I have a question though.... I have a degree in Computer Science and want to get into cloud. Should I still apply for the cloud exposure roles? Or do I follow the 6 month roadmap and apply to cloud jobs directly? And if I need to apply to an exposure role like a helpdesk role, how do I prepare a resume for that? Please note I do not have any work experience. Thank you! :)

@@MadeByGPS will do! Thanks for the videos! Really gave me and I’m sure others a true insight on what to expect! I remember hearing you mentioned learning a programming language and I cried a little inside haha, now one of my classes is an intro to automation and scripting!

I'm working as a developer for about 6 months now, and I'm thinking of switching my career into cloud engineering. I'm feeling comfortable with coding, and I'm using Linux for about 3-4years(for fun), and I just started to follow your study guide to learn other necessary topics. There are too many roadmaps for any dev position you can imagine, and it's actually really easy to get into them, but I can't say the same things for the cloud and devops path. I just wanted to thank you for all of your efforts to create those amazing content. Also, it's really nice and inspiring to see women in tech creating tech contents as a woman myself. 🙏🪁🌈

love this video so much i cant even tell you. youtube is full to the brim with people promising the easy route with high paying jobs in a few months of light studying. no one wants to tell people that its going to be hard, going to take a lot of work, and going to take a fair amount of time. they are all snake oil salesmen that dont care about their audience, just farming ad revenue. its been so challenging finding someone with your message. thanks for this. would love to see a video on other jobs/roles in the data space that you might think would be a good idea to aim for as well

Hi, Great content! I am trying to make into Tech from non-background field. More inclined to go in Cloud computing but confused with Data Engineering/Analyst field. Looking to hear your valuable insights is it still good time to start with Cloud in 2025 with zero experience.

Thanks for talking about Barbara Oakley. I watched her Ted talk and am now reading her book: "A Mind for Numbers: How to Excel at Math and Science (Even If You Flunked Algebra)". Honestly, watching her lecture and reading the book should be mandatory at least once a year for school aged children. The guidance on how to use one's brain is first rate. I only wish I had it back when I was in school. Now, as long time sysadmin studying for my AWS Cloud Architect exam, I need every tip and motivation I have find to get through this. Thanks GPS!
