I have seen this technique done with both hands on the arm being pulled of the opponent. Instead of one hand on the lapel and one on the sleeve. Is that incorrect?

There are many details that we have to master in order to "get it". Your explanation is great, and thanks to you I could do it in training, very slowly against a small and big guy ( 100 kilos, smaller than me ). If it is done correctly, we don't even need speed. By watching a video from Inoue Kousei on the topic of uchi mata, I got another two nice details about "kuzushi" and feet placement. Little by little I am getting there. Thank you so much. Your moves are awesome to watch. Now, I will have to drill this, and then implement it in randori ( easy with some opponents, and hard against some others ). Matthieu マチュー

Hi! Me again.. when I practice uchi mata I often get the comment that I should straighten my attack leg when I swing it back. I see here a lot of examples where tori keeps the leg bent. What do you think about this topic?
@fluidjudojapan

@leonvandersande Thanks🖐️ I don't think you necessarily have to stretch your legs.

Thank you for the awesome video. It's always lovely to watch randori. Fluid Judo's style is very good ! I want to learn more and more. I'm a 40 years old french, and I practice with students in a japanese university. They play judo like the "fluid team". Me, I am more leaning towards russian style ( over the back ) judo. I can score pretty well with sumi gaeshi. Sadly, I would like to use ( standing ) seoi nage, but I cannot do it. I still cry at night about it. Maybe I can learn from the fluid team and become strong ?! One can hope ... You are all awesome ! I love your styles very much. Matthieu

I loved the video, I have always get confused with classic uchimata and you solved the problems many teachers can´t. Repetition is key but some solutions don´t come just for doing thousands of uchikomi. Arigato !

Hi! I have a question. Whenever I try forward throws like harai goshi or uchi mata my teachers tell me to get my hips below my opponent's hips. I'm very tall, so this is usually difficult to achieve, so I'd rather learn to throw without dropping my level. I see in this demonstration that the tall judoka throws without lowering his hips below those of uke. What are your thoughts on this topic?
@fluidjudojapan
@fluidjudojapan 22 күн бұрын
@leonvandersande Thanks🖐️ In my personal opinion, I don't think you need to force your hips lower than your opponent. I think it is necessary to firmly pull the opponent forward and set up. I wish you the best👍
