Bamboo takes 3 years to mature, and the hardness and thickness of the walls is superior to a "green" cane. Also, make any cuts just above or below the nodes so the ends are solid. Do not make any cuts at the internode where the wood is weakest and can accumulate mud or water while in use.

Save your time and go buy extra fine steel wool instead. It works even wet.

For those less DIY inclined folks who do not have a blow torch or cannot find bamboo in the wild, you can skip the first 4 minutes of this video by just buying some finished bamboo fishing poles from your local sporting good store, or getting them from the garden section at Lowe's and cutting them to size. However, that handle wrap is damn nice.

A British Army basha tarp stuff bag is a perfect size to keep it in, to keep your pack clean, it could have been made to measure.🤓

I've always used a "Fancy Feast" cat food can with "Heet" yellow bottle alcohol. It brings two cups of water to a boil in five minutes, and leaves no residue on the cup, or stove.

just a suggestion... with the whoopie sling, it might be a good idea to thread a small bead onto the loop, before it's a loop. this is to ensure the whoopie sling doesn't ever lose it's loop...

Best video on spark lighting ever. Great idea using jute cord unraveled. I am in Oz. I find pieces of flint that the Cumbadgery use as scrapers and knives. They look about the same as your piece of flint. Two questions, could you have filled the tin up with cotton pieces, or at least put more in, and what sort of steel do you find best. I have subscribed and liked. Great presentation. Thanks, Peace and Blessings.

Very bright ? Very powerful beam ? If they didn't change the L.E.D. - the older 41-lumens used to have a LUXEON I emitter - then it's a very unefficient light. Cree XP-G, XM-L, XP-L, XH-P can put over 1,000 lumens - OK, let's say 400 - 500 with regulated output for a few hrs - LUXEON I is coming from the stone age for L.E.Ds And if it's a LUXEON I inside the out then there's no way that light is regulated for almost 5 hrs putting 90 lumens - older INOVA TIROS XO and T2 using a LUXEON I too and 2 xCR123s were putting 25-30 lumens for about 5 hrs ... flat regulation - Maybe it's another emitter inside 3330 ! It should be

This is a valid way to light a fire and i did give it a thumbs up but its easier to carry waterproof matches! I think there's only two ways to light a camp fire with matches (if you have to make and carry char cloth you may as well carry matches. The other way is the stick and friction method. With practice you can light a fire with nothing you had to have with you.

The 31 dislikers on this video live near a coal-fired power plant and they masturbate when they see smoke coming out of it. They squirt when they see the black smoke coming out of the stacks and when birds fly in the smoke.
