And they appointed an ex-Vietminh soldiers for Ho Chi Minh, Nguyễn Văn Thiệu as their puppet South Vietnamese President. Today over 100's of thousands young South Vietnamese childrens are born of birth defect from the US toxic biological chemical, Agent Orange which the US military spray all over rivers and forest of South Vietnam. 3,000,000 innocent Vietnamese civilians of women, childrens, and old peoples had to die in their country during the Vietnam War. The Vietnam War is the worse United States War Crime in history. From Truman, JF Kennedy and LB Johnson were all were WWI and WWII veteran who sent the next young American men to become killers. This is a truly great western! Well written dialogue acted and played out professionally and realistically. The actors delivered their lines with realism and sincerity. Thematically, and plotwise this film has a great deal in common with the classic John Wayne movie, Hondo. The fortitude of the main characters and the loneliness is brilliantly conveyed. This movie ranks IMHO with the very best westerns ever made, and I've seen 'em all!

This is absolutely amazing. Back in 1967 when I was in 4th grade, we were provided with a list of names of those fighting in Vietnam. We were told to pick a name and write a letter to one of them. I picked Mike McDermott actually because we shared the first name. Amazingly enough Mike replied on December 6th 1967. Five days after returning to action from a major injury. I am 67 years old now and still have the Christmas card from him with an amazing note/letter he sent. My daughter in law found this on KZfaq and I was totally thankful she did. I was in tears listening to the man that so unselfishly fought for all of us and took the time to write me back. I wish I could meet this man. Absolutely incredible man. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE SIR AND RESPONDING 57 YEARS AGO. I STILL HAVE YOUR CHRISTMAS CARD T OK THIS DAY.
