Liam Cooper, a lot of criticism at times but 10 years at a time when loyalty is questioned by fans and he acted like a captain, if only some of last seasons bunch were a half of that. Represented the club exceptionally well especially during the dark days of covid.

With respect Ger, this is obvious PR from the club in respect to tensions between the Gray’s and the club. They’re feeding the YEP this info. Especially when the athletic article yesterday stated it did cause frustration with the Grays. The move to spurs rather than Brentford may have smoothed things over for now so everyone plays nice. But that doesn’t mean the tension wasn’t there. The club are are playing the PR game, it’s slightly naive to take everything as face value. With regards to things coming of Waccoe you were a bit dismissive of the rumour coming off there Even though it was Waccoe that broke the news the move was on to Brentford 2 days before the YEP asked the club. So it’s not too much of a stretch to believe that the person leaking it, had a fair idea of the situation, just because the club are on the PR offensive to play it down doesn’t mean it’s wasn’t true. I guess my point is just because that person has a funny username on a forum it shouldn’t just be classed as lies. It’s harder as it’s not an official channel I agree but slightly more balanced view could be taken Even if you don’t want to believe it true it’s always best to be cynical of the club and what they tell feed the local journo.
