There are thread after thread (including recent posts)on reddit about how ride1up often negates any fault for bikes showing up with obvious manufacturer defects, or parts failing. The common blame by ride1up is towards the customer, or the shipping agent, despite having the customer testify there was no damage to the box. I'm glad I did not order from this company. Although the theme in this video claims ride1up has amazing quality control, after reading the user comments, I don't buy it.

I'm sorry but those keys hanging below the battery is absolutely ridiculous

The jobs are normally 50-100+ miles away on roads that has 70mph to 100 mph in the US, imagine riding a bicycle that far and with vehicles zooming that fast :D
@mannyechaluce38147 сағат бұрын
You would see more bicycles on the road in the US only if jobs and service are closely and available, otherwise you will need to drive a vehicle in the US. Everything is far apart in the US and the roads are very fast and dangerous for bicycles.

Even for a small runabout, it’d need the equivalent of 9.9hp and 2+ hours of run time (15kWh) to be taken seriously. That’d be expensive with a big battery on a small craft. Gotta get better energy density!

This looks like the perfect application for pontoon boats, since it's quiet, usually low speed/short distance, and they'll have more room for some batteries

Good video, thank you for pointing out that very powerful mid drive motors pose a massive challenge for bicycle drivetrains, they're not made for the amount of torque and power these motors put out. I've started out on a mid drive bafang motor ebike and switched to one with a rear HUB motor with a torque sensor in the pedal crank, not quite as good but much better on the drive train. Ultimately I want the industry to go towards belt drive systems, quieter, easier maintenance and, although complex, still very possible to built into full suspension ebikes with strong motors that have gearing built into the motor unit. Couple years and we should be there, can't wait!

I hope U$ will ban all these chinese ebikes, due to National Security Threat. That way all these lovely tech can go to people of the global south at very affordable price.

72k for 600+ HP EV SUV seems pretty good, looks like it’s a better SUV than Kia EV9 for around the same price, assuming it’s reliable, which is probably not.

does anyone know how the controller knows your speed?, you would think it would have to look at wheel size and rpm of the motor right?. but i did an experiment where i set the wheel size to its minimum, meaning that the bike thinks is going slower than it is, - and while this effect does show up on the display as slower mph, - the throttle still stops right at 20mph. - so how does it know? is there gps built in?

A "decent" amount of power? 3.6 second 0-60 is "good for an SUV". No, it has an absurd amount of power and accelerates very quickly.

How does this Apollo model compare to the original Unagi dual motor scooter? Same distance per charge? My Unagi only gets 2-3 miles per 7hr charge. Thanks for your review & content!

This is definitely faster, more powerful and more comfortable, but I like how lightweight the unagi is
