Dear Haurjie I would like to ask, is it possible for close cases to cool the CPU & GPU without case fans? i.e just using CPU cooler & GPU Fans. if yes, can this be done with: - GPU 4090, CPU 7800X3D? or - GPU 4090, CPU 14900K? - GPU 4090, CPU 13900K? - GPU 7900XTX, 7800X3D?

@haurjie 2 күн бұрын
Yeah of course all of the above can be cooled without case fans. Because GPU already has its own cooler and the CPU also has it's own cooler.

I really like this case and I hesitate to take it to replace min Lian Li O11 Air mini! I have custom watercooling but use an EK-Quantum Kinetic FLT 120 D5 pump, and what makes it quite large ... I don't know if the pump would fit over the front radiator .
@matsu9790

Where is the point to pump cold air from buttom and side side through radiator which makes and heat components inside as well as top rad? I did not catch this.
@haurjie
@haurjie 7 күн бұрын
Actually because there are so many radiators for the heat to spread, none of the radiators actually get hot at all, It's warm air at best if both CPU AND GPU are running max at the same time.

They SO need to make an "XXL" version that is roughly 600x600x240. (but I would also like something a little wider too) Basically upgrade the size till top and front 420's is easy, as it is in the Meshify 2XL, but without the extra length the 2XL has.
@xBINARYGODx
@xBINARYGODx 9 күн бұрын
(although with some graphics cards - the length of the 2XL is very nice ( for a front intake with push/pull, a thick 50mm rad and the pump/rad combo)

Whats the flex diff between fr4 and carbon fiber? Which ones more stiff? I DID hear a BIG difference between copper n brass. I'm surprised copper gets used considering the potential of complications that could occur because of conductivity.

Question for you or anyone familiar with building in the North XL: Could i separate the pump and reservoir and put the pump in the basement so its hidden? I was contemplating doing that and then using the FLT120 res on the back of the case. Would be a cleaner look but Im not sure I can hide the pump somewhere.
@haurjie
@haurjie 12 күн бұрын
You can try if you want. That just means your FLT res would have a very long tube run down to the pump, which is fine too. I just haven't tried anything like that in builds yet. But that's an idea I could implement later actually

Do you have to assemble these keyboards or can you get them fully assembled with your selections when you buy it?
@haurjie
@haurjie 20 күн бұрын
Traditionally custom keyboards are not preassembled, because of the massive options of configurations available, it's impossible for companies to fulfill every customer's desired configs. But also the fun in custom keyboards is actually building it yourself, that's why people do it, and you have full control of building it exactly to the quality control within your own hands and your own liking. But some companies do offer full assembled though

ok im just curious why is it that the people who aren't into keyboards, custom keyboards I mean, always show the same keyboard in every video. They'll have Grovemade, Orbitkey, Deltahub, Flexispot, Ergonofis and most of the time, prebuilts like Keychron, Iquinix, Nuphy, and Logitech, but then when it comes to custom keyboards, they always only show 1 particular keyboard brand, Mode keyboards. and sometimes Luminikey. Why is that? Is Mode somewhere being promoted on kickstarter or something. Literally every desk setup video i've seen, these people will have prebuilt keyboards and then the exception of Mode. Why is it that I only see Mode everywhere. It''s literally posted by everyone who isn't into keyboards for some reason. What I mean is you don't see Jelly Epoch, or FoxLab, or qk65, or zoom65, or time80, or space65, etc being seen. What makes the Mode so special? It's so bizarre. These desk setup youtubers always show the same exact products from one another and they always own the same product and somehow all of a sudden, they have an expensive Mode keyboard on their desk??? Makes no sense
@haurjie
@haurjie 20 күн бұрын
I didn't know about this. But now that you've asked and me seeing this question for the first time, I already have an immediate answer for this and know why. Every keyboard you've listed above I have either seen, reviewed, or played with myself. Simple answer, most of the custom keyboards you seen are LIMITED runs, once the GB runs are over, they are never made again. It could also be a price range thing, I noticed you didn't mention Keycult or Geonworks FX-84 or something, very expensive boards. Creators either don't have them because they are THAT rare and hard to get, and even when they do have it on their desk setup etc, people are no doubt going to ask where and how to buy if they like it and most likely have no clue what brand. And then when they are told the price and availability, you really think that's an easy sell? The goal of a creator in this space is also we want to show what's ACTUALLY accessible. Other boards you mentioned such as the QK, the Jelly, Zoom, Time, Space... on top of them not being available anymore, these brands don't have affiliate links for creators to earn money from. We need to make money too for our work. But also from the brand's perspective, there is no point for them to create affiliate links for limited boards... what use is it to both the creator and the brand if nobody can buy ended products? Mode Designs have their products continuous production (for the most part), and Mode also has affiliate links for creators like myself, so it makes sense for us to showcase this.
@BobCostas-db5hb
@BobCostas-db5hb 20 күн бұрын
@haurjie this is all started with the Mode Sonnet. Literally every desk setup youtuber I've seen will start out with a prebuilt like a keychron iquinix, Logitech, nuphy. You won't see any other keyboard pop up Then all of a sudden, a Mode pops up lol. And they all make these videos around the same time 😆. They'll all own a Mode, Grovemade, orbitkey, deltahub, ergonfis, etc So I thought maybe Mode was on kickstarter or somewhere being promoted heavily

Very detailed and informative video, thank you. Whilst I just build my first pc with aio in the standard north and won't be building another one any time soon, let alone with custom loop, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. If I'd go for a custom loop right now however, I'd probably go for the white version, specifically in combination with the asrock taichi carrara mobo, cuz I think it would look stunning if you then pair it with a custom marble paint job on the tubes :)
