Hi Ricardo, I like your content and it's very helpful. I have one question here as you mentioned, the assumption section is to assess user behavior and context list Technical constraints: and Business direction, and then you have a next section which is called constraints, in this sense, it makes me a bit confused. As for the assumption section what exactly should be in that box? And those assumptions are based on our common knowledge which is- experience and educated guess I presume? To make sure we make the design context much more streamlined in an understandable also relatively easy-to-tackle format for this challenge? If so, what exactly should be in this section? Is it more user-need, persona-based, and market-based assumptions? Rather than technical ones? As your constrains I think maybe the other assumptions you acquired from the interviewers later on if you ask? Also, how do you define assumptions? I see in your process you mentioned assumptions in the user needs section as well.

Hello, do we need to complete a long-term course to secure a job in UI/UX, or is a short-term course sufficient? What is the basic degree required for UI/UX?

Does UXDs & SDEs earn the same ? Is your salary same as a SSE at Google ?
@rahpstudio4 күн бұрын
Oh no, SDEs make more, especially in stock options, but it's not an outrageous amount more. Generally it's UXD < PM < ENG. Check out levels.fyi to get a better idea by role.

Ricardo, you have no idea how much I needed this video. I've suffered from social anxiety since I was around 11 and I'm 32 now. I studied Design and I work in UX in the tech industry ever since I graduated in 2017. I've spent all of my professional years doubting if I'm really cut for this role, to the point I've stopped applying for certain roles, I've thought about quitting multiple times, it's just endless suffering. This video helped me see there are other UX Designers like me, and that it's possible to thrive in this competitive and (almost always) extroverted field with social anxiety. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.

You are saying before an interview or applying to the company we want to know about the company. The question is --In the interview time how do we know what type of company is. we already applied for so many companies and researched for so many companies then how do we give value on that company we are a good fit for that company?

Very useful video. as a mid UXUI Designer o know the struggles. And in this video you go through all of them really nailing the reality of what companies need and how you and your team can see you. even thought i already tried to explain this to everyone around me and not find the words. But now i feel heard and i can explain better to everyone, what happening to me and why i am so stressed.

Heyy, I am currently working as a ux designer at an agency. I do not have a “relevant degree” so was wondering if this will hold me back as I progress through my career? I was thinking of doing a hci masters but it’s a lot of money. Would be great to get your input on this. Will I hit a wall without the formal background.

Do you have advice on how to research the reputation and alumni (and where they work) of the programs? I am starting with KZfaq videos, Google Searches and LinkedIn. I live in California (LA area) so I'm looking at UCI, Berkley or CCA to help me get more experience in UX Design, I love how you broke down the benefits of HCI vs more art based programs.
