It doesn’t look like an exceptionally hard hit. I think he just fell awkwardly and was bent backwards by the boards.

Dorny is correct. Brubaker was first guy off the bench closely followed by Gary Nylund. Brubaker said that he came off the bench because Dwight Schofield was rouhing up one of the smaller Leafs, Dan Daoust I think. Said Jeff: "Schofield is capable of killing a guy." Leafs had a scrappy team that year. They didn't win many games but they were entertaining to watch.

Are you a Thrashers fan?...... First, if you are, I'm sorry that you've lost an NHL franchise for the SECOND time, but don't worry their talking about giving you ANOTHER. 🙄 If you're not an ATL fan, then what are you complaining about? You come on this site to see aggressive hockey and some fights, right? A fight after a hit... OH NO! How many other ways are they supposed to fight? HOPE that the game winds up being a route, so maybe you don't have to worry about taking a Bad Penalty while you're looking for "THAT GUY" in a close game and MAYBE, Just MAYBE you can be on the ice when that player that you want to fight is out there? From what I saw, Atl had every opportunity to Fight Back and THEY DID, they asserted themselves quite well. Not sure if it was Stewart who bloodied Ference but just the same Ference needed his face cleaned up. SO if you're an Aggressive Hockey fan You Won! you saw a good hit that was a Little High and got to see a COUPLE of Fights instead of ANOTHER Boring PP. ALSO with the uptick in Attitudes on the ice, comes the higher possibility for MORE FIGHTS..... If you're an ATL fan, your team showed up and left one Bruin needing to clean up his face. OH YEAH.... and the better chance to see Boulton and Bfuglein do their thing, Right??? Cheers. 👍 P.S. why didn't we see those 2 do their thing? Boulton did his thing before, but Bfuglein(however you spell it) around that time was starting to think he's Coffey. Anyway, there was some kind of reason why they didn't make any noise about the "clean" hit later in the game. Maybe you've got an idea? Cheers. 👍

1989, Ron Hextall (Philadelphia) gave up 9 goals on 26 shots in a playoff loss to Pittsburgh. He only played 30:48, and was pulled twice in the game. Hextall was initially pulled at the end of the 1st period (with the Flyers down 6-1), but was put back in net in the 2nd period and was again pulled when the Penguins made it 9-3 (Pittsburgh won 10-7). Ken Wregget, who replaced Hextall twice, stopped all 8 shots he faced in the game (28:45 TOI).

Gotta give Marsh credit for not wearing a helmet till he retired. Could have been killed.

Marsh actually put on a helmet after he got taken into the turnbuckle by Bourqe and Neely in December 1987, same game Hextall scored a goal…he might have removed it after a season…?
