PLEASE, can i use this song for a KZfaq shorts about Blaise Cendrars?
@Ender-bg2hx10 ай бұрын
0:01 “Battle of Verdun” at least for me in a way captures the horror and intensity of the battles in the western front and also the battle which the title references to. Idk how to explain it, especially “The horrors of war” one.

Yes, but for know this game looks great with animations and human's anatomy. I mean no game and no game has that beautiful anatomy animations like in RO2. That looks real like lighting system. If only replace old textures then this game would look great even for todays standards. But imagine remake, but It'll never happen sudently, or maybe but that would be a miracle.

We've heard about your trouble, Tom, In rousting out the Boer; You shall not fight out there alone Amid the cannon's roar, The blood that stirred our noble sires To build up England's Fame, Re-kindles in Colonial sons Their prestige to maintain. For we are the boys of the Southern Cross Our stars shine on our flags- Emblazoned with the Union Jack, To show we're Empire lads. From storm-torn hills where tussocks wave, And dells where tree-ferns grow; From snow-capp'd peaks, and rock-bound coast, We come,-to strike the blow. Rest, British sons, till South-cross boys Canadian brothers meet- Then on we'll press, an Empire's strength, And make the foe retreat. For we are the boys of the Southern Cross Our stars shine on our flags- Emblazoned with the Union Jack, To show we're Empire lads. If seditious traitors cross our path And parley for the Vaal, We'll hang them up at Kruger's-dorp- Thus settle matters well. We'll gather now the camp fire round, And make the billy sing; Be ready, boys, at bugle's call To fight for stars and Queen. For we are the boys of the Southern Cross Our stars shine on our flags- Emblazoned with the Union Jack, To show we're Empire lads. With three cheers for the Empire loud; And for the Queen,-Hurray! We'll stick tight in our saddles, boys, To drive the foe away; When once again our land shall loom And Kruger is no more, Welcome we our native home- And fair New Zealand's shore. For we are the boys of the Southern Cross Our stars shine on our flags- Emblazoned with the Union Jack, To show we're Empire lads.

In terms of "unknown stories", it's funny how the group SABATON already make a much better "Battlefield 1" game than the game itself. They have already given a Serbian Campaign with "Lady of the Dark", a French Campaign with "The First Soldier", or a Canadian Campaign with "A Ghost In The Trenches".

This song is for sure a cool bit of history but I can see why it isn't well known here or sung at all. Doesn't represent the current attitude of the majority of kiwis at all. Still neat though.

It represents when NZ was a better place which still believed in its British identity, the same is happening in Australia sadly, however both of our great nations will always remain British in legacy and in heart
@hyacinpollo34242 жыл бұрын
@@lordpolish2727 Hm. I don't really think New Zealand was any better when we "still believed in our British identity" whenever that was. Idk why so many Anglophiles have this kinda odd rhetoric of 'the better times! the British times!'. Like mate, the notion of our British identity isn't gone, it's still alive and kicking. We're just incorporating the indigenous culture, language and people more in our society. That's what it means to be a bi-cultural nation. No one is taking away our British heritage. We're being more open, which is great! We're mixing and mingling and it's a fantastic thing for my country. Dunno about Australia tho, you guys have some... issues.
@lordpolish27272 жыл бұрын
@@hyacinpollo3424 I think there was a minor misunderstanding, ive got no problem with new zealand having representation of the Maori in their culture, i think it makes NZ unique, its just modern NZ is full of people who want to severe ties with the UK, change the flag, and are okay with the colonisation of NZ with immigrants from asia and the middle east, (we in australia have this too) New Zealand is a joint nation of europeans and maori peoples, with a strong british heritage, and it should be continued!

If you’re going to make a game primarily about the Western front, kind of disrespectful to not include the country in which it was fought and lost their entire generation of young men in the base game. Also hypocritical to not include a German story since “BeHInD eAcH GuN iZ a HuMAn BeINg”, as long as they’re Anglo/American. Pretty cool they at least showed the Italians though.
