Just got a TA Terminator on a hunting weight 33xc. I had a hard time trying to decide what brand of brake to use. It took me months to decide. I wanted the most recoil reduction for obvious reasons. These videos really helped me decide but was worried that they were a circus trick though. I now have about 30 rounds through the gun with a 300 grain Bergers at 3100 and I’m very very happy with this brake. This gun is a pleasure to shoot. A little less recoil then my unbraked Tikka T3 270 WSM. Thanks for making the videos and such an effective the brake.

a bit misleading between the rifle only and the suppressed results. try taking the weight of the silencer off the sled, if your shooting without a suppresor your not going to have it strapped to the rifle adding weight. some of them weigh 600-700grams that would make a difference to the rifle only results

I've got two T5 Terminator Brake on my 375 Cheytacs and one T4 Terminator Brake on my 33XC I'm building a 416 and was looking at the T6. However looking at it not reducing the recoil less than 8 on your scale of what use is it? A brake is to brake the recoil which this does not do as goodcas the first two you showed. All it did was send fas straight out atb90 degree angle. So what is the T6 for.And why don't you angle the 1st port closest to shooter on your T5 to help reduce trash in shooter face.Thsts why I was looking for something better than my T5.

More than just the recoil reduction; it’s the stabilization the Terminator brakes do
@guardianminifarm80057 ай бұрын
Looks really effective for a smaller brake. Thank you.
@guardianminifarm80057 ай бұрын
Good results. Interesting how most all of the "standard" size brakes had nearly identical performance. I wonder if that is typical. Or if that is an anomaly with this rifle and cartridge combo.
@TerminatorProducts7 ай бұрын
It just comes down to diminishing returns once they get so efficient, some cartridges show it up more than others, one thing is for sure you will have no idea what happened after you fire it with a suppressor or unbraked, way too much recoil with that projectile weight in such a light rifle
@guardianminifarm80057 ай бұрын
Does the job quite well. Thank you.

May i ask how loud is it in reality!? Is it not possible to shoot without ear protection!?

It is loud at the range with the roof over top in a tight valley, much quieter than unsuppressed or super sonic though, yes being subsonic it is "hearing safe"

Why was it so loud? Still supersonic?
@ranb4010 ай бұрын
It uses about 27 grains of powder and has a baffle bore of at least .55 inches. That lets lots of noise compared to a subsonic 22lr with a 2 grain charge or a subsonic .223 with a 5 to 7 grain charge.

Holy Sheeeet!! I just purchased a RPR 338 Lapua Mag about three months ago. I had no idea that Bitch kicked that bad without a muzzle brake!! How do I go about purchasing a Terminator muzzle brake? Right now it has the standard, I think they call it the tank muzzle brake, actually sighted into 500 yards today with a inch-and-a-half group of 3, not great by any means but pretty cool when you've never done it before lol. Me and my father benchrest shoot, 300 yard's as far as I've ever been out with old school model 700 bolt-action 30/06.

CONFIRMATION! So the accepted theory is wrong. Suppressors do not reduce recoil (at least not by much) over a naked barrel. And there is no comparison using a muzzle brake. Thank you.

Would rifles of this calibre count as destructive devices given they are over .50 or do they have a sporting exception?
@prunoRecipes9 ай бұрын
The bullets start off 0.510 inches, but 0.005 rifling constricts the bore to 0.500 inches. There's a story about polygonal rifled barrels allowing the 0.501 inch NO-GO bore gauge to fall through them, when standard "land and groove" barrels pass because the rifling constricts the bore. Taken from the ATF page. Destructive device exemptions: A shotgun or shotgun shell which is determined by the Attorney General to be generally recognized as particularly suitable for sporting purposes. A rifle which the owner intended to use solely for sporting purposes. I am not a lawyer or gunsmith, just an enthusiast. Pruno

Hi team, love your awesome brakes. I’m going on rebarrelling my SAKO TRG42 .338 in .375 Swiss P. ( barrel Lothar Walther with M18x1 20 mm muzzle thread ) Which break would you recommend ? Since the two calibers share the same dimensions and I’m think to swap the two barrels time by time, can i use the same brake for both ? Thanks for your tips.
