Maybe the designer of the current series with the hands should also have been mentioned: It's Manuela Pfrunder. Interestingly the previous designer, Jörg Zintzmeyer, had a famouse internationally renowned design agency. But for the new series, the Swiss National Bank chose to work with a much younger, talented but unknown Manuela Pfrunder. Maybe that was a risk, but I think the result is really cool!

justice against people who literally did nothing? what is just about this? one side commits crimes, the other commits crimes (in retaliation) , nothing even remotely just about that. what did the people who were injured or killed do?

Franco was a brutal dictator but a dictator that died in peace, in a public hospital bed and a dictator that was mourned by hundreds of thousands for days. And no one forced those Spaniards to go pay their tribute to Franco. They did it willingly. What’s happening nowadays is that politicians want to use history for their political purposes. History is one and the Second Republic was not Disney either. And I’m writing this as a Spaniard who has relatives that were told to dig their own tomb and then shot by Franco soldiers.

Hey there, it's not exactly true for William Tell, he's still depicted on the actual 5 francs coin, since 1848 the coins didn't change. Excellent video with a really nice visual though, thx!

Forgetting is justifiable; we must not allow the next generation to live burdened by the painful memories of the past, becoming slaves to history. The various sins committed by our ancestors, regardless of their political leanings, are unquestionably crimes. When someone claims to possess the truth of history, one must be extremely cautious, as those who wield the banner of truth may be dividing hearts and using ignorance to serve their own political agendas

Seeing the original bill designs felt like nostalgia :D I remember being about 13 years old when they announced the design change. I think they rolled it out on the 50 Franc bill first, afterwards the other were also changed.

Corrections: Schleyer's convoy was stopped when RAF member Stefan Wisniewski reversed a yellow Mercedes onto the road. The baby carriage was brought to conceal the automatic weapons used during the ambush. After leaving the hideout in Erftstadt-Liblar Schleyer was briefly brought to The Hague before being moved to Brussels. Akache styling himself Captain Walter Mahmud is an error from early press releases. His actual nom de guerre was Captain Martyr Mahmud. Jürgen Schumann's body was not dumped onto the tarmac in Aden. Akache informed the Yemeni officials of the execution had just conducted and asked them to pick up the body - the Yemenis answered that such an action would have serious repercussions on the relations between them and the Palestinians in Yemen, so Akache relented. Schumann's body was stored in an upright position in a locker and only retrieved after the plane had reached Mogadishu. Schleyer was found shot three times in the back of the head. About the Airbus 707, I am out of slack to cut.

Yeah well, the 70-80s is also the rise of soviet modernist architecture. So the weird bus stops, being constructed a little earlier, are like a trial of what the architects could get away with in given circumstances and political climate.
