"You can't vote for a party" - Ye of little faith, Joshua. Now just 16 years later that little inhibition was "fixed" (in all manners possible as an adjective). With "Party Line" ballots, the election process has been sufficiently dumbed down to match the electorate, a single-checkbox tick can vote every party-declared candidate on a ballot. I swear we're only a few more years away from accepting a head tilt and a semi-audible grunt in the general direction of one giant D or R on the wall of a poling place as a sufficiently cast "vote for all". Not without its flaws, however, as there was soon the terrible realization that people that sported just enough grey matter to check a single box would not realize there were many other things on ballots, non-partisan positions (judges mostly, but also committee positions, etc.), ballot measures/proposals, etc. that still require hard-votes. People in sampling groups were completely ignoring the rest of the ballot once they checked their "D" or "R", so the undervote ratio was skyrocketing on everything other than party-declared candidates. It was/is so bad the airwaves were spammed with PSAs, including one by the TWW cast members, to try and get people to understand checking just one box wasn't enough. Side story, only slightly related: It reminds me of a story Jimmy Carter told whilst gracing the stage of the Tonight Show many years ago, some time after he had left office. He was talking about some of the more "out there" elections he had run in whilst rising the ranks of Georgia politics. In one particular rural election there were hundreds more ballots cast from registered voters than there were actual people living in the district, and an investigation was launched to determine how and why. Ultimately, it was determine all these extra "votes" were coming from dead people, but also determine there was no systemic collusion; it was just the way things were. Example: Billy Bob and Norma lived with their grandfather for many years, and although he had died years earlier, the county just kept sending ballots for everyone, including grandpa, on election cycles. Well, grandpa was a life-long democrat since the great depression, so everyone in the family knew how he always voted, and how he would likely still vote had he not shuffled loose this mortal coil. So, they filled in his ballot the way he would have as a sort of tribute to their lost elder, sending in with theirs. This went on for many years, in many households. Now while that may seem a little w.t.f.odd, the "resolution" was even more so. They knew they couldn't let this continue, but they also knew people might be completely confused with a radical change in voting laws (and by radical change, I mean actually enforcing voting laws), and it may, in some way, suppress still-living voters from casting much-needed ballots . So they reached a compromise the majority begrudgingly agreed with: No one in the county was allowed to vote if they'd been dead longer than five years. The idea was, you can't really predict how someone would vote after they'd been dead longer than five years. Maybe they'd change their mind/stance on things. So... you get five extra years of stuffing the ballot box with your dead grandpas vote, and that's it. You can't make this up; it's a true story. Carson was laughing so hard he literally fell out of his chair as he listened to former-President Carter tell it.

Yeah, Florida had gone about a decade past the projected life of the voting machines, thereby facing widespread failures from wear such as "hanging chads" and "dimples." This year, I voted by coloring in ovals on a cardstock ballot sent in by mail. It's a good system.

No, because the IDF eliminates terrorists, not innocent people unlike Palestinians who are murdering Jewish kiss just because they are Jews, just like the Nazis did to the Jews in the holocaust. That's hwy the Palestinian ideology is so similar to the Nazi ideology. Read about the founding father of the Palestinian, Amin Al Husseini, he was a Nazi and H*tl*r's bestie as we all know.

Not entirely true, the date changes according to the calendar and it's one channel that screens it, the other channels are either suspended or show stories or documentaries of the fallen. Finally, it's not just soldiers shown, it's victims of terrorism. It was 17-18 April 2018 and it's around 3.5 seconds per name, with a picture where possible. Very sombre. I kept the TV on in the background this year so if I were in the lounge I would see those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
