Great piece and good info. Worth mentioning that my 2022 Scag TC II 61 I had equipped with the mulch kit and the blades with it are the Hurricane system mulch blade with a medium to high lift - and my deck does NOT get caked up with that set-up.....but my old Hustler and a couple other make models did with their mulch kits installed. Nice job.

I just got a B 270 L turbo. So far, I am very disappointed. I’ve been in business for over 20 years. I have a Maruyama blower that starts on the first or second pull. This thing takes 8 to 10 cranks to start whether it’s cold or hot. I haven’t checked the spark plug yet for the gap to see if it’s correct. And the trigger handle is held on with springs so it’s constantly rotating very weird design. There’s no way of tightening it, so far I give it a fail.

It definitely sounds like yours has an issue. I would take it back to the dealer and have them check it out.

Yamaha got rid of the horrible Team brand clutch. EZGO uses them now and toro uses them in their base model Workman.

These definitely flex too much. I have the updated design of the lower hydro bracket and my top front bracket still broke on the left side and the bolt broke on the right side. (only 90 hours on this machine). I welded the left bracket together, added a gusset, and replaced the bolts with grade 8. So now to see if it will break again. I'm guessing yes. The deck gauge wheel mounts are also not strong enough to support the deck if you let the wheels touch the ground and turn at the same time! The flimsiness of this mower is a big black splotch on an otherwise seemingly good mower.

PE man Im looking for a video on how to service the primary clutch (yamaha drive 2--G-29)... you ever done one like that? Apparently cleaning, inspection of parts and lubrication are important.
@PowerEquipmentMan11 күн бұрын
If you have the newer style FBT clutch, you should not need to do any removal/cleaning. They have a grease zerk on them and just need to be greased with one or two pumps of grease every time you change your engine oil. If you have the old TEAM clutches, they were a very high maintenance clutch that did require disassembly to clean/lube. The TEAM clutches are junk and should be replaced with the FBT clutches. We sell a kit to do that.
@rameye11 күн бұрын

I would put the old drive belt back on and try but i threw it away Sorry for reaching out this way, but just curious if break in will help It's for Lake Place, so just putsing around. But ill take it out and put 50 miles on it if needed

I did probably put 4 miles on it this weekend, didn't seem to improve. It tops out at about 21mph. But it won't go under 15mph without jerking. Like a power band on dirt bike- until you get to 15mph
